Thinking Out Loud.....

Sorry guys ! I was out of the city just had gone to my native place. I came back only on 8th evening. I mised you all in the midst of hectic office duty .. year ending presure is too huge. Now I am bunking from my duty and writing my post closing my office room door. Funny life. But remain another 8 years to get retired.

Sheila - yes, that is the one. I did use leg and cut it in approx 1.5-2 inch pieces. I have enough lamb left to pull together some lamb stew tomorrow night.
It's 1:45 a.m. and I am up because just before we went to bed, the earthquake struck in Japan. We have just been added to the tsunami advisory which is less than a warning, so no significant impact expected. I worry for those in Hawaii, it will hit there in a few hours. I also worry a bit for the fishermen in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska.
Chris - I didn't really learn to cook in the real sense till the kids with their fussy taste buds were grown up. I still have one who only eats steak, chicken, potatoes, carrots, broccoli and bread. Tzatziki is a sauce made of grated cucumber, plain yogurt and dill. Souvlaki is just a Greek designation for shish kebab really. So don't worry, you have years before you would even consider joining the planet, wait till the kids are gone
Maybe I can't sleep from arimidex?
-
DD called 1:30am to let me know about Tsunami.
They are 2 miles off shore of Waikiki. She called back an hour later that watch was changed to warning.
They are safe where they are (just passed the danger zone)
Meece & Diane are you okay?.
-
LOL Diane, it started a long time ago. Technically I wasn't ditched since parents cannot attend the District Finals. They take a bus to the finals. But I think I can go to the State finals and I am SURE I will be ditched there.
Nice to see you Raj!! 8 years! yay!!
Diane, were you up all night? You too Sheila. Glad to her she is safe!
-
I am far enough inland, that although we are only 400 ft above sea level, it would take a Tsunami much higher to affect us. Whew!
Napa has lots of culinary things to do, golf, picnicking, train rides beautiful scenery, wildlife sanctuary, performing arts, etc..
-
I went to bed, just woke up actually. It is now a warning rather than advisory, so far less danberous.
I am glad your daughter and SO are safe!
-
Still waiting to hear from son in Japan.
-
Keeping him in my prayers Meece. Let us know when you hear.
-
Thank you, Fox is just now reporting on American Service members....
-
Oh Meece, I didn't know he was there now. Waiting with you. Is he in the north?
-
No, thankfully in the south. One of the other BC.org members used to live near him, and her contacts say they are okay. You gotta know he knows I want to hear from him.
-
(((Meece)))
-
Thank you, Seyla. I am SURE his is fine. I just know it.
-
We are under under an advisory warning here. Police spent the night advising beach front and marina residents to move inland. I am concerned about friends that live on a sail boat at the marina. Of course, there are reports of some fools on the beach to see the waves up close. So far no big waves here. We live inland far enough not to be concerned about the expected tides.
-
I know but we mothers worry until we hear from them right
Hugs
-
Chabba, glad you are not too cose to the shore.
Meece - I am sure he knows how much you want to hear form him, it must be very difficult to get word out right now. Hugs and more hugs.
-
Still watching the news, this is more interesting than Charlie Sheen, don't you think?
-
Meece - Watching paint dry is more interesting as far as I'm concerned.
-
Like I said, more interesting than Charlie Sheen!
I actually just have the news on in the other room. Sort of scanning with one ear.
-
I hope you hear soon. I hope he is sleeping soundly somewhere and will call you when he can.
-
I don't understand. It would have been about 10 pm my time when it happened, he could have called. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I understand that Okinawa is just fine from the internet. I realize it is like 2 am right now, so I guess I might hear from him in another 4 hours or so, unless his unit was mobilized to give support.
-
Meece...I just heard that Military in Japan are fine.
Just in case if you didn't hear.
-
I wish you could call him!!
-
Me too!
-
♥(((TO ALL)))♥
-
See what I got in the mail today from a Wicked Pissah BCO sistah!
-
How frickin' awesome is that! You look wonderful!
-
LOL - love it!
My thoughts are with everyone affected by the earthquake and their worried moms. ♥
Hope you hear from your son soon, Meece.
((((((((HUGS)))))))))
-
Thanks Diane. I took the pic of myself so I have 4 chins. Really, I only have 2. Might have more when i finish the GS cookies.
Still thinking of you Meece!
-
Just got off the phone with my little critter. He said they haven't felt any of the earthquakes including the bad one. They also are on Tsunami watch, but everything is okay. He was waiting until morning to call. Whew!
