LOL White Rabbit!
-
Rabbit .. that was so cute! I loved it!
Bren

Why would someone from you know where get a fake name just to post on this thread?
Again, I'm trying to make some sense of utter nonsense.
Bren

Great fairy tale, Rabbit. Thanks!
-
But how does it END, White Rabbit?
-
E: Whew! That makes more sense! A dog that barks "at" her butt. Still think you can take her on the road and find a way to make money with her. BTW, are you speaking in other languages? What does "Phasers on Ignore" mean? What's a "phasers" . Do I have one or can get one? If they cost more than $5.00 forget I asked.
-
Ok, this is somewhat the opposite of what we have been saying here - it is when self policing is warranted. I understand but differ with those who say it is best to let posts stand on their own because they expose the poster. The fact is, they also allow the poster to hurt others and report others, so even if Blue isn't hurt, others may see their posts deleted. THAT's why posts should be reported.
I vote for the following view of the preceding lizard posts. They violate the following rules, especially when understood against a context of events well known to all:
You agree not to defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights of others. -

Phasers = futuristic weapons used on Star Trek. Don't tell me you haven't seen Star Trek?? Captain Kirk (my first crush) often said "Phasers on stun!" when faced with hostile aliens. I don't like violence so I just put my phaser on ignore.

I reported LizardKing's post. Stalking and harassing.
-
I didn't know what they were either, E. And guess what - I fell asleep watching Star Trek . I actually thought it was boring. Yes, I know, the only human being to think that but sci-fi/fantasy almost always puts me to sleep.
The superb entertainment we have been witnessing on this thread, of course, is proof positive of the infinitely superior value of truth over fiction.
-
I would have reported the post, but it was already gone when I went back to it.
Bren
Edited: The trolls always show up after happy hour.
-
I ignored. They're just going to create another name. *sigh*
-
I vote that we report "all." If the person sees that the posts only lasty a short while, her intent to embarrass Blue or anyone else will fall flat on its face. Yes, she can create another identity but it can wear her down. Also, the more identities, the easier it is to eventually track her account down if that is what BCO wants to do.
I think in this instance we have enough evidence and arguments to weigh each post as contributing to the totality of the abuse - rather than only singling out those posts that actually contain incendiary language.
-
Bren - does that mean they're really happy trolls?
-
I did report all -- all were part of the harassment.
-
I reported the remaining post and it went poof.
-
Athena, it doesn't embarrass me. They should be embarrassed and I think they are very scared too. They are quoting stuff out of context and making a commentary to suit their purposes. The only reason I reported that post is because they took Jim's pet name in vain.
-
I still see one on page 8. I've reported...anyone else? (Can't believe we are doing this).
I have covered very, very bad law enforcement activity as a journalist. Something unseen in this country. And, believe me, attrition always wins. That is what we must aim for. The goal can never be total erradication, but significant weakening.
-
It's gone now.
-
Good, Done. Blue, I am sure it doesn't embarrass you, since who would be embarrassed, in light of the absurdity. Still, it's the intent that counts. Anyway, done deed.
-
And just to make one thing perfectly clear (where did I hear that before) Laura and Erica brought it here, not me.
-
That's for federal law enforcement at this point. (Referencing post by "again")
-
E: No I did not and will not watch a Star Trek movie. I get soooo bored by them. Thanks for the info on your phraser thingee.
-
I'm torn ... hiding behind a fake name and spouting nonsense just makes the poster look foolish.
Actually it would have been nice if blue could have found such software and let Melissa know about it. Why in the world would anybody assume she would hack into a database herself???? It makes no sense ... especially to anybody who knows her.
Turn brain on before engaging mouth is always good advice. Just saying ...
-
LizardKing -- I think everyone has moved on. Please do so too. I'm sure there are much better things to spend your time on rather than wasting it on this vendetta.

Tip: Now, ignore and don't respond but report. Just as you do with spam.
-
While you're posting will you please tell us the whereabouts of the hacked pmails? Your site owner posted on a public web site (and the Google Bot was there) that her members told her that their pmails were stolen and c&ped on BCO. I spent all weekend looking for those dang things. I looked at forums I'd never even seen. I even looked on the arts and crafts threads. I can't find those pmails. Puleeze tell us where they are. Thank you.
-
Ok, Athena. I bow to your wishes.
-
Also, be prepared for the possibility that there will be a silence, and then all of our posts will be deleted. But don't worry. We will get them back tomorrow.
Remember also that it is NOT against BCO rules to create a second account (the problem isn't with that - it's with using second and third and fourth, fifth and sixth account for the purposes of abuse and hate). It is neither tacitly nor explicitly forbidden, so don't worry about waking up tomorrow seeing your entire life gone. :-) I will be sad to see my lion pictures go though.

Another tip: Be extra vigilant of everything you post on all threads to ensure that there isn't someone you don't recognize always shadowing you and posting derogatory responses. This could happen anywhere. If you are posting on a sensitive Stage IV thread, for example, and one of these posts comes at you, let us all know and we will help you deal with the problem!! The last thing we want is to commiscerate with a sister and have the whole thread fall flat. Come over here or go to Blue's thread and shout "Brussels Sprouts needed in .....and post a link to the thread in question"
I have seen grave immorality in my life and the lesson is to never surrender. You will never obtain total victory or change the person, but you will stop the oppression and the victimization of others. If anyone thinks this is funny or still to be ignored, you must see life through rose coloured glasses - and you do so at both your own peril and that of others.
