CT Scan show Bone Mets?

Options

I am wondering if a CT Scan would show bone mets? I have had shoulder pain since November and had an XRay and CT Scan with no type of contrast. (I am unable to have MRI due to Tissue Expanders in place.) Both tests were negative, but I am wondering how accurate a CT Scan is for bone mets?

Thanks

nana60, Are you taking any kind of AL's? I know I'm having shoulder pain as well as knee pain, but my onc. seems to think it's just the Femara causing it. What he is telling me is that my joints will have more pain due to the meds. I am finding I need to take pain relievers about every 4 hours to control the pain.

My bone mets were initially noticed on an x-ray which also showed up on a CT. Those were followed up by a bone scan and a CT-guided biopsy to confirm. So yes, bone mets can show on a CT.
