Symptoms of Mets in the Spine?

Options

Hi Girls,

Been having some ongoing back pain and of course now my mind has been going to that "dark" place and worrying it's mets.  Anyone know what the symptoms of spinal mets are?

Thanks,
Sharon

Hi Sharon. I have mets in my spine and ironically, the pain was felt just as much in the "front", like in my ribs, as my back. It wasn't so much a constant pain....it hurt only when I moved a certain way or sneezed/coughed. I would absolutely get it checked out if it's been going on for a couple of weeks or more.

I had spinal mets in my upper back, but felt it in the ribs and sternum as well. Please have it checked out... don't wait like I did and end up in a far worse situation. I hope it's just plain old back pain in your case!

    Hi Sharon,

I was also interested in the symptoms of bone/spine mets because of my own pain & I recognized you from your nice message to me on my "1st post" and just wanted to send you the same hugs that you sent me...

I hope that you listen to the girls above & get it checked out--and that everything turns out okay.  It really is hard to not to worry and go to that bad place, especially when pain lingers.  I feel like I'll never be able to adjust to not thinking of an ongoing pain as a possible met...  But then I think maybe that's a good thing sometimes because I didn't listen to what my body was trying to tell me before.  (And, of course, 5 minutes later I'm back to thinking that I'm reading too much into things! Smile)  At least we know we are not alone, though, and that is a good thing!...

Sending you a hug & warm wishes--I hope that things turn out okay...
