-
Jo I am so glad you forgive us...... as sistahs we tend to bicker a lot. I am so going to enjoy those and Tink saved me some, how nice Tink..........HUGS!!!
-
As a matter of fact, I would LOVE some cookies!!! Thanks!!
Just got back from some self-care: I have the best massage therapist in the world, went in feeling tired and discouraged, came out a new woman, ready for cookies & milk!
Have to see my MO tomorrow - probably more discussion on the long-term tamox plan. *sigh*
BTW, there is/was a discussion on NPR about online support groups, internet use for health problems, etc. this afternoon. I caught part of it in the car - I think they said you can get it from the National Public Radio link. I'm going to check it out later.
Best wishes to everyone for a good afternoon!
-
Okay, I must confess I took my first Tamox today... did NOT mention yet to my husband because I do NOT want him noticing any extra bithciness or mood swings.
-
Woohoo saturn hope all goes well
-
Thanks Sherry, sounds like you are doing better with the tamox now.
-
It will be interesting if anyone can find out what is going on with the thread. Very annoying the way it is working right now especially as fast as this one moves. Hard to know where you left off.
I went to the gyn today to get the results of the D & C. Everything came back negative so I am so relieved. Not sure what caused the bleeding all of the sudden but it sounds like just another fun part of tamox or menopause.
Thanks for sharing the food pics. They are making me hungry or maybe it is the smell of dinner cooking.
-
Peg119 So glad your result is negative...LOVE these news.
-
PEG..Fantastic news!!!! so happy to hear.
Saturn...good for you! welcome aboard!
-
Saturn - Hope all goes well with the Tamox.
Peg - Great news on the negative results.
Tink & June - Let's see what I can come up with for dessert. Now you two, you have to share it with everyone else tonight. Okay?
If no one have any objections, I kept a piece for myself.
-
Jo - I'm so glad you found those magic dishes that keep replenishing themselves no mater how many of us help ourselves! Thank you for the wonderful treats and please keep them coming.
-
chabba - You are welcome. I have so much fun here I can't seem to stop. Everyone here makes me laugh everyday and that keeps me going.
-
Me Too
-
JO...You have outdone yourself that looks incredible and well ok ok I will be happy to share
and to show that I have learned my lesson I would like to share this cake maybe for midnight snack lol!
-
Wow...zooming right along! Alicia, I was gonna share those strawberries with you but I am sure they are gone by now. I will, however, love to have a piece of that cake!!
I have been feeling bad this week and found out yesterday I have an upper respiratory infection. I already have asthma so that didn't help any. I got some good meds and feel much better today! Prednisone is a wonderful thing! lol
-
Peg so happy for the good news.
Jo I love your deserts, I can eat as much as I want and no calories. It is perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With insomnia the last two nights tonight will be an ambien night. It better work or I will be a zombie at work tomorrow.
-
Oh, yum, Jo. I definitely want a piece of that one, but I will try to leave some for everyone else.... It may be hard...
-
Tink - How did you know I eat a small snack before bed every night? It settles my stomach. But it looks too pretty to eat. Okay! I will indulge, I would like a corner piece, please.
Sherry - Sure hope you can get some sleep tonight. I have done the zombie routine at work and it really sucks.
-
Dawney you crack me up......I will share all the food Jo makes as I know it is not kind to hog it all......too bad those strawberries are gone....
Sherry I hope you have a very sound sleep tonight.
Hi Tink and Jo 2 wild and crazy gals.....
Peg so very happy to hear negative results.....we all need to hear good news. Love it!
Welcome Saturn so happy you took the plunge......
Just came back from a fantastic evening at Olive Garden......I am so addicted to the salad......
To all you other ladies I might have missed, have a great evening!
-
June - Love Italian food - especially like the salads at Olive Garden. I could eat Italian every night. Can you guess what might be in store for dinner tomorrow night?
Good Night Ladies

OH MY!! I am FOUR PAGES BEHIND!!
Can't keep up, can't remember what I read to answer everyone!! So please forgive me!!
Just want to let you all know that I have had some major leg problems.....cramps/spasms Tuesday night. SO the ones that are having the toe pains, and leg spasms, I feel your PAIN!!!!! This is Friday and yesterday I spent four hours in the er so they could do a test to see if I had a blood clot!THANK GOD it is not!! But, the pain in my left leg is horrible, and then not being able to walk on it as normal, the right leg is hurting now too.......it sucks!
So, guess not only from my other med issues of RLS, and Fibromyalgia, (which I have had but NEVER leg cramps./spasms this BAD!!!The crying at the drop of a hat is HORRIBLE!!! I think the only SE I don't have is the hot flashes!! I hate taking this dam pill.......but as I cried my eyes out to the other woman in my office yesterday, I told her........but what is worse......the SE of this pill.........or taking the chance to get cancer???? I will take the pill, and go see my ONC next Friday.
-
Sandee.......have a great trip.
Jo and June, y'all crack me up!!!!!!!
Alicia, it is so great getting to know all of you here, and some of you on fb... it's been a pleasure and will continue to be!Chevyboy, so glad you can hear!!!!!!!! What awesome news.......and wow, my momma is 75 and I can't talk her into even TRYING to turn on a computer much less type on one, even one fingered!!
Wish I could, she lives in Ga, and me in Ks.......and she would see and be able to not be so lonely
anyway..... the ones that have insomia......yep, I have had it now over a week....(started back on the tammy after onc taking me off for the mri....anyway, insomia has been HORRIBLE also...and wondering if that is part of why I have been so whinny??!! Cause there ain't any other reason! I am happy person.......love to laugh, and then five minutes later I am crying??? What The HECK???
I am just so thankful that we do have this place, and we can share with each other.......makes it a bit easier.
-
Saturn........good for you.......hopefully you will do good on it!!
PEG!! AWESOME NEWS!!!!!!!!!OMG JO!!! DON'T PUT CHOCOLATE IN FRONT OF ME!!!!!!!! HEHEEEEEEEEE
awhhhhh Tink, you so sweet!!!!! (Now, bring out the other cake you have hiding for yourself!! heheee
dawny, so sorry you are sick......that just sucks
OK........y'all are probably getting tired of reading all my posts in a row, so I am gonna head out for now.......heheeeeee My work schedule is so weird, and this week has been a bit harder to get on here and read .....and another reason is my eyes.....they been a bit blurry this week. I sit with my fb open sometimes all evening...and can't even see with my glasses on!! hehee
Have a great day!! I will try to check back in later HUGS!!!!!!
Jo, I have a snack too before bed......and sometimes I think it is helping me put on all this weight!
I hate this !! oh well, like I said......I don't want the bc tho......so onward and upward....
sherry, hope the ambien works for you, and yes, I am taking my tammy in the morning hoping that would work for the insomia, but it hasn't...........I know after reading my posts some of you will recommend ambien to me....already been there, and on the effexor for fibromyalgia. Funny about four years ago I decided NO MORE MEDS!! I was sick to death of all the anti-depressants, muscle relaxers, pain pills, and sleeping pills......... NOW.......I might HAVE no choice but to go back on some of them. Already on the ativan (for anxiety attacks that have gotten so bad)......geeze!
-
Peg ~ great news on your all clear results ! Try not to worry what caused it ~ I am sure it is the darn menopause.
Dawney ~ hope you feel better.
Those not sleeping (like myself) it is so awful. Somehow I am getting used to it for the most part but pop my occasional ambien to get some rest.
Tink ~ that is some cute cake pic.
Jo ~ chocolate cake with frosting YUM !
June ~ I am now craving Olive Garden salad... haven't been there in years.
Sherry ~ hope you got some sleep.
Sunangel ~ grrr on those leg cramps. Trying eating some bananas.
Saturn ~ Congrats on that first pill. Hoping you stay side effect free ~ or at least minimal.
If I forgot anyone. HUGS !!!!
-
Hi Ladies,
The weekend is almost here
Still no side effects from the tamoxifen, so thankful about that! I'm sleeping much better than I have been though, since I started taking the vitamin D supplement. Guess my body really needed it :P
All these pictures of food make my mouth water constantly! Now that I have no boobs, I have to watch what I eat.....I don't want to start looking like a pear! LOL!

Sunangel - Bummer about the leg pains. I know what you are going through. Had the toe pains which started going up the legs.
Sherry - Hope you had a night of sweet dreams.
June & Tink - Got a busy day ahead of me at work so hate you tell you two the kitchen is closed this morning. Will see what I can whip up for dinner.
-
Dawney hope you get to feeling better
Sunangel wish I as there to give you a big HUG. Leg cramps, insomnia etc etc how miserable.
As for my sleep the ambian worked last night. Hooray!!! The insomnia kills me, I can go two nights with minimal sleep but if I go a third night I am crabby and a big B***h and no one would want to be around me. The Ambien worked so well last night I did not want to get up this morning. I may just take another one tonight since I can sleep in in the AM.
My DS, DIL and GD are coming tonight for the weekend. It has been way to long as they live in West Texas and in our state that is a long way away. Tomorrow night my parents and my inlaws are coming for dinner so it will be nice to have everyone together and visit.
-
