..... I cannot wait to see what Hotel they pick out.... fun fun....
-
Hello everyone!
I will be heading to our happy place this weekend - yes Vegas! Time for NASCAR! Anything to get away from the crazy St Louis weather - we had Tornado's again Sunday night. Nothing like being woken up sirens going off at 11:30pm.
-
Hello Sisters
I have been holding off until the last minute to say anything but the time has come for a decision.... so I must say that I will not be able to join you in Vegas this year. Maybe next year.
To the newbies that are going on the Vegas trip...you will love the Sisterhood....so much fun meeting the sisters...putting faces with names and just spending time together. I know you will all have the time of your life.
To all the sisters who are having surgery during the month of March...you are in my thoughts and prayers. I have your names written on my calendar so I pray for you on your day.
Lots of Love
Linda
-
Yippie!!! I am rooming with the bra and fan lady!
-
Jancie - I am in your room. What the heck are you referring to???
Juli
-
Juli - Last year NVDiane brought me 3 bras from home that fit me perfectly. She had bought them and never used them. They are so purty!!! It is hard to find pretty bras without underwires and the ones I was wearing turned out to be nursing bras which I didn't realize until the flap opened up one day
On Sunday night we were all saying our goodbyes and Diane had a beautiful black fan. Now I had been dealing with hot flashes for over a year and she was so nice that she let me buy it from her! She had found them on the strip somewhere! I take that spanish looking fan with me everywhere I go now and I have no problem whipping it out in public and using it!
I had suggested to Tracey that she could put Diane and I together and then a couple of newbies so that we could show the newbies the ropes so to speak so glad you are part of the team!!! Now I am just hoping that Diane doesn't have a problem rooming with me
-
I snore.
-
Linda54 - sure am going to miss you this year! And I was certain that you would bring me a special fan this year and now I have to wait another year
-
my heart is heavy this day thinking about all the ladies NOT going this year..... heavy!
Diane ( NVDiane) is the KINDEST sister ever right Jancie.....WHOEVER books this room..... ( Jancie...Diane....the sweetest new ladies...) please PM me.....
-
Thanks, Jancie, and I will bring my ear plugs then.
I am so happy to be in your room!
Juli
-
Juli - I don't snore bad - not like a freight train but more like a greyhound bus according to FirstMate and Tracey
So glad that you will be in the room with me too!! But.......I do like quiet in the mornings! And....I don't come in at night making noise either - because others may be sleeping and I am great with walking around in the dark and not banging myself up!
Last year Robin and I came back to the room around 3 am? Some really awful hour and we were so quiet coming back that we didn't even wake up our other roomeys but we did have a problem finding the light switch to turn off the table light - I think I ended up covering the table up with some clothes so that I could fall asleep.
-
Jancie - Sounds good. My b/f snores occasionally and I'm used to it. I actually panic if I don't hear him breathing. Kinda like when my babies were newborns.
-
Ok, I need to hear from NVDiane and StLCardFan!!! Are ya'll getting a little bit excited yet?
-
Hood River Oregon ..anywhere need Woodburn, OR? Hubby and I are travelling up that direction early summer .. ?
VickiSam
-
VickiSam.....It use to take me 2-3 hours(depending on weather) to get from Hood River to Woodburn!! I use to Teach Dance there, did it for the love of teaching KIDS!!! So..Hood River, Or is about 2 hours East of Woodburn,Or.
I live here in Hood River, know we haven't meet yet..But Welcome & if your in this aera & want to get a quick Hi from another SISTA, you just let me know. Sadly, I'm one of those that won't be able to make the reunion this year!!

Wasn't Sandy's surgery today?? ((HUGS))) Healing Power Prayers for a quick recovery
211 days till the most AWESOMENESS group of TATA'S 3rd Vegas reunion!!!!!!!!!! WAHOOOOO!
Take care Chow GOD BLESS
XOXO Susie
-
Susie... go to the TATA FB.///// I reported on Sandy's surgery......
I AM GOING TO MISS YOU THIS YEAR SUSIE..... why oh why could you not have that last surgery Oct...10th or something....:(
How can you not be there....
-
Thanx Laura-just went & caught up on Sandy Ouch..Power Prayers I LOVE YA GALS!!!
I'm trying to keep myself so busy as to not think about the reunion, I'm deeply upset that I can't go & trying to figure out a way to make a SURPRISE APPEARANCE LOL LOL!! The decision on when to do my surgery was based on healing time. My surgeon wanted me to be able to enjoy my summer-turning 50 in July, A High school 50th bash, 10th Wedding anniversary in August..plus gave me some more time to get off this prednisone weight!! ARGGGGGGGG But have lost 25lbs so far
. We have a big Family reunion in October in Texas, Hubby's side who we have not seen in over 5 years!! I'm thrown myself into the school as a volunteer where ever they need me, became daughter's homeroom MOM helper, SMART program where I read with the kids 2 days a week for 2 hours each time, Skate nite-handing out skates & twice got up & skated
, Movie day helping pop popcorn, Helping teach the Mexican dance class with my added HIP HOP, just got to teach K-2 grades the Electric Slide in 4 days at 2 1/2 hours aday-GREAT WORK OUT.....I'm just soooo excited about getting off the couch & not being in the hospital like I've been these past 4 years...LIVING LIFE....have been warned not to over do...ME??!! Don't be silly LOL
But....the timing again for the surgery was to beable to be healed for the rest of the fall to help at the school & go on the family reunion trip. Believe me..if there is a way to show up during the reunion....I will try to find it.
Welcome all the new SISTA'S Vegas has never been the same since we left our TATA MARK!!
210 & still counting down WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Take care Chow GOD BLESS
XOXOXOXOXO Susie
-
Linda I will miss you this year..
-
Thanks Jennifer
I went to my gyno on Weds and just as I suspected..I have lost my pelvic floor support.....I will be having surgery for a Rectocele and he will also do a hysterectomy. My uterus has fallen and will continue to fall with age so might as well get it out while in there. I can choose when to do this and I have decided to enjoy my spring and wait until hot weather to have it done. Probably around 4th of July when my husband will have time off work.
Sounds like everyone is getting excited....I am excited for all the newbies.
-
Jancie -- we had to cover the table because it had those awful zombie baby clothes under the glass. It was freaky!
-
HELLO LADIES!!!
GLAD TO SEE WE ARE ALL EXCITED!!! YAAAAAAAAY!
AGAIN WE CONTINUE TO WORK ON THE HOTEL AND WE WILL LET YOU KNOW AS SOON AS WE LOCK IT IN!!! IM SURE WE ARE GONNA GET A GREAT HOTEL BUT NEGOTIATING TAKES TIME!! I WILL SAY WE ARE VERY CLOSE TO A DONE DEAL!
LUV YA SISTERS!!
-
Robin - I am going to blame my forgetfullness on chemo brain
You are so right - those were just creepy! What were they thinking when they decorated that room?
-
Susie-I love that you got to teach the kids the electric slide! I can just see it! Glad to see you are living your life again. You deserve it.
Tracy
-
Linda, I just read your news on he TaTa FB. Sorry to hear that it all means more surgery for you. Aren't you just SICK of it all? I know I am.
Susie, WTG girlfriend on the weight loss! And for getting back in the swing of things and taking your life back. When is your surgery again? How close is it to the trip? Is there any way you could go to Vegas and just do a "reduced schedule" of activities? Maybe we could even do a wheelchair to allow you to be there and not over-exert yourself. I know you will want to be right in the middle of everything, but we'd rather have you be part of some of the activities and take it easy. It's just a thought.
Has anyone heard from Sandy yet?
-
I posted about Sandy on our FB page Mona..
-
Good morning sisters......Just a quick note to let you know that there is a ticket sale to Vegas right now especially from the East Coast in American if any of you use AA to travel. I think I am going to book my ticket.
Have a great weekend
Hugs
