Infiltrating Carcinoma
I am ER PR Positive both have proportion score 5/5 & intensity score 3/3. Her2 Negative, MIB1 Negative - insufficient for optimal evaluation due to scant tumor present.
I'am about to get my appointment to MD Anderson In Houston in a couple of days now to meet my new referral doctor. What i will be expecting in my situation?

Is the doctor a breast surgeon or medical oncologist? Did you get your diagnosis from a biopsy or did you have surgery already?

After the result on my mammomagram and found the suspicious lump on my right breast they scheduled me for ultrasound then to biopsy. The result of my biopsy is all i have for now... after hearing about my breast cancer, my husband & I decided to go to specialist in Houston. We asked my OBgyne to refer as to Houston Hospital which is the MD Anderson. I'am still waiting with the receptionist for my schedule, they have to have all my papers forwarded first before they will schedule my visit to my new doctor. I'm asian and completely out of sight and innocent about what i'm dealing with. I can't still tell what stage i'am as when i talked to my OBgyne about my biopsy result i was in shocked and can't believe what i heard. Who and when they can tell what BC stage the patient is? What are the good things being ER positive & PR positive? It's like i heard my doctor that good as i am estrogen positive?
Just turned 35 y/o last Dec and on the same month i felt the lump on my right breast. Had my mammogram by mid January. Did my ultrasound by end week of January after like week did my biopsy. It was february 22 when i knew that i have a IDC. No family background and an active person who love to stay fit all the the time. How could i ever think i will be dealing this now....

Sagita: Sorry you had to join us here, but you will find lots of support and information. Do you know the approximate size of your tumour? That together with your final pathology (following surgery) including node status will determine your staging and the course of your treatment. Being ER and PR positive is good, because your cancer will respond to hormone therapy - you will likely be on a pill, tomoxifen or similar, for 5 or more years. There are informative links at the top of this page - click on treatment and side effects. MD Anderson is top-notch, be sure to ask lots of questions, take someone with you if you can or take notes, because it is hard to absorb all the information.

Luah - Thank you so much for all the information. I have been reading a lot here and learned many. It gives me some insight on what i will be expecting in the future. Don't sorry... it's ok. I know that at the end of the storm the sun will shines bright above all the dark clouds... good Lord above is with us to get through all this. We just have to more strong and positive. Giving up is not the option an right now.
The tumor size was 0.88 x 0.43 x 0.94 cm.
Thank you again. I'll keep that in mind... your advices and taking notes.
