Tamoxfen

My doctor has talked to me about the possibility of taking Tamoxifen after finishing my radiation treatment. I am on the fence about this as the doctor explained that the drug doesnt; have a huge benefit but a very small benefit compared to radiation. There are also some side effects and as I read some other forms of cancer it can cause. Has anyone taken this drug after radiation and what side effects did you have and were any other cancers found during or after this medication? Do you think I should definitely take this drug or not? I am meeting with the medical oncologist on tuesday to discuss but after speaking with people who have taken it and hearing different stories I am just not sure what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
