radiation and nausea

Options

I was not expecting to get nauseous with radiation.  I had my first treatment yesterday and woke up in the middle of the night nauseous!!  In all my research it does not mention it as a side effect.  I am not nervous and think it is not likely to be a virus due to the coincidence.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks for your replies.  Nausea is listed as a side effect for Tamoxifen.  I have been taking it  for 5 weeks and only had bone pain and hot flashes.  But since I started Radiation, I have been nauseous!!  It is not going away.  It is probably from Tam, but it is weird it didin't start until radiation began.

I have completed all 35 treatments of radiation and I was nauseous after the first treatment. I saw the doc three days after treatment began and asked about nausea. She said it was not related. The mistake was bringing this up with my husband in the dr office. Every time I felt nauseous he would tell me it was my "nerves". He also only thought I was feeling this at the time of radiation only and not throughout the day. I began to ask my clients (I am a hairstylist) that had radiation if they too felt nauseous from it and ALL of them told me yes !! After 30 treatments I again brought this up to my dr (with my hubby there) and she finally agreed that some people are sensitive to radiation and nauseous from it. I was nauseous through the whole treatment , not all day long , it came and went throughout the day. It didn't bother me, I just kept thinking that if this was the hardest part of radiation (for me) I could get through it.
