I am sorry to say that it is not lung noodles......I have three lesions in my lungs and one on my spine, located @ T8.  My onc went over the options and two trials that I qualify for, so I have some thinking to do and decisions to make.  All three receptors to the lesions are negative (again).

Awww, Jenn, I am so sorry you didn't get good news.  I have been following this thread and keeping you in my prayers.  I will continue to do so.  Do know that there are a lot of us Stage IV gals who have reached NED, and you can do it too.

     Hugs,

    Lori

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!  I can't imagine not having my BCO sisters to help me get through this.  Honestly, my mind is blank - trying to think of how to tell my girls.  We'll have to drive up to my youngest daughter's college to talk to her.  I don't want to tell her while she's home for Mardi Gras with friends in two weeks and want to give her time to deal with this before she starts cramming for exams....... My oldest is in town and does know what is going on, I need to talk to her - ugh!!!  I am not afraid of this fight, but what bothers me is the pain my family will and is going through.

I'm so sorry to hear your bad news, Jenn.  We were all hoping it would be something else.   As much as it hurts you, I know it must also be awfully hard to have to tell your family this bad news.   I hope you are able to get into a good trial and that it beats the crap out of those lesions and puts you back in NED-land.

Oh Jenn.  I was so hoping all would be fine.  I don't know what to say.

Thinking of you, and will be praying for NED.  Hoping one of the trials is the magic bullet.  The good news is that it looks like you have options at this point. - Claire

Jenn, I always feel so inadequate at times like this, wanting to tell you something insightful and life-altering, and of course there isn't anything--except, isn't it typical of mothers that we always worry about telling our children the most? Screw bc, crap on triple negative. We're ready to always pull for you. Prayers and hugs.

    Jenn,

I am so vey sorry of the news that you have to absorb and that you now have to tell your family.  Your family is so important to you and you are so very, very important to them.  My sister tried to hide her mets from us and she ended up shutting us out of some many things.  That hurt worst then the news when her husband finally broke the secret.  Knowing what she was going through but not being able to talk about it or just let her know that we were there to listen.

Your family is going to give you the strength to figure out the best plan and support you through it.  And we'll be here for you, also.  We love you Jenn!

My prayers are with you and your family Jenn, a "good mom" always feels the guilt more for her children than for herself.  Stay strong, there are stage IV NED...remember that.

we are all in this with you Jenn... The PARP trial is working wonders for some women....I pray you will be one of those women. So so so many women with stage 4 are living long lives and each day we are one day closer to a cure or another new development.

Dr lisa Carey is one of the leading docs in the US on triple negative Breast Cancer. She is at UNC. She was Eliazabeth Edwards doctor. Just an fyi incase your thinking of getting a 2nd opioun.

I second that crapola. Jenn, this is a slug in the stomach to us all, but we're with you. I hope there's trial that wipes the beast from you. NED is just hanging out, waiting for you to start one.

    Jenn -

I am somewhat of a newbie here - just had my first chemo yesterday.  I just wanted to also say I am out here pulling for you and your sweet family during this hard time.  I am so sure you will be NED very soon and am hoping for nothing but good news for you from here on out.  You deserve it.  :)  XO

Jenn - I've been following your thread and hoping with all my might these were indeed lung noodles.  I started out almost three years ago as stage iv with lung mets  (brain mets 2 years ago) and I was terrified to say the least.

Since 7/08 I have learned that there are many who surviving for many, many years despite this dx.  Each journey is completely different and each has hope!  I told my doctors I planned on living for at least another 30 years and they agreed to help me try to reach that goal!  Now I realize I will only be in my 70's in 30 years so I am adjusting my figure to 50 :>  There is a great thread over on the stage IV forum.....a member comes back and posts each January....this year she celebrated 18 years with stage IV and she has never seen NED.

Just know you are not a statistic and there is always hope!     xx00xx

Aw Jenn - sooooo sorry! This news just BITES! Please, please know that we are all sending only good energy and thoughts to you. On this end it just feels like that's not enough, wish I/we could do so much more. There is hope. Prayers that you will be dancing up a storm with NED in the very near future. And know that when that happens, we will all be clapping!

    Love and gentle hugs,

    Adele
