Thanks to all of you........my mind is in the "what if" mode and I really don't like that game. It's something I rarely do and never talk about to anyone. I don't like the "what if" game because that is just what it is, "what if". But.........I keep thinking what if........... who will love my girls as much as me.........who will take care of DH and DD's, DM and DS? I know it's easier said that done, I myself have given the advice many times, stay busy, do something mindless, anything but worry about something at hand, yet here I am......
-
Jenn, I just went through a "what if" week and am having another one now. I had my onc appt on Thursday, and I kept thinking, "What if my blood work is off whack? What should I do? Should I go through with the house purchase?" And currently, "What if I don't get the mortgage?" as I'm still waiting for the final OK. And still waiting for the tumor marker results. So, a couple of big decisions are hanging in the wind.
Plan A is the bloodwork is all OK and I get my mortgage. Plan B1 is the bloodwork is OK, but I don't get my mortgage. Plan B2 is my bloodwork is suspicious but I get my mortgage. Plan B3 is my bloodwork is suspicious and I don't get my mortgage. All Plan B's have the same results...I won't buy my townhouse.
Rather than just worry about it, I use those what if moments to come up with contingency plans. Gotta have a Plan B because Plan A doesn't always work out. Although Plan B isn't my optimum plan, I know I will be able to make the best of it.
-
Nancy - Your post describes me. I'm always working out multiple plans. Wears me down sometimes with all the thinking but in the end it keeps me positive that one of the plans are going to work.
Jenn - I've been thinking about you all week. I sure hope we (especially you!) get good news next week. Sending love and hugs.
-
Jenn,
Been thinking of you all week and will be thinking of you tomorrow during the PET. Hang in there Jenn and know there are tons of us who are here for you. -
Thank you - Again......this week is moving along and I've been staying busy. Tomorrow after the PET scan I'm headed across the lake to visit with my godchild (18 months) - yippeeeee.

Hope it all goes OK tomorrow with your PET.
Then have a wonderful afternoon! Nothing like a toddler to goo over to take your mind off things for a while.
