A Great Bra

Options

I want to share some information about a REALLY comfortable bra.  I have had bilateral mastectomies and have been searching for almost 3 years for a bra that isn't tight and doesn't irritate my scars.  I have tried regular bras with and w/o pockets sewn in, mastectomy bras (the worst!) soft, stretchy cotton bras with pockets (too tight and hot) and "Handful" sports bras (not bad) but Zee Bra! is my new find and worth raving about!  The web site is easy to use and the people who make these are incredibly helpful and really nice.  The bra is made out of a very silky soft material, has pockets even tho' not made for mastectomy gals and comes with various sizes of inserts. The bras have NO elastic but still manage to stay in place well.  They are made for small breasted women but, as I said, work well for me with no breasts!  They are coming out soon with bras with bigger openings for the pockets, but I managed to get my silicone "biggest boob" prostheses in there.  I am so excited about this find I just had to share the news.  Here's the site:

So do you use prosthesis with them?

I do use my prostheses in the bra for some tops but it is a little hard to get the silicone forms (my largest foobs) into the pocket.  The owner of the company tells me that they are soon coming out with the same bra but with bigger openings to make it easier for women who want to put their own prostheses in the bra.  The bra was originally made for women with smaller breasts and comes with its own removable pads. You could put almost anything in there though. I think so many women who've had mastectomies were buying the bras and asking for this adaptation that they decided to make one for us!

I wear it with the "forms" that it comes with if I just want to look "small breasted" and it works for me but I am fairly thin and used to looking "small".  The bra is just so comfortable, it is like wearing nothing.

    Hope this helps.

PinPDX, is there much adjustment in the straps of the Zee Bra?  On most bras I have to let the straps all the way out and I can't buy some bras because the straps don't let out enough.

The straps are adjustable.  If you decide to check out the website (see link in my first post) there is an area where you can send the maker of the bra any questions you have.   That is what I did and after emailing with her, I decided to try the bra.
