I was diagnosed with Triple negative breast cancer in Jan 09,  Stage 1 all lymph nodes neg. I had a double mastectomy followed by a complete hysterectomy. So I just celebrated my 2 year anniversary. I find with triple neg. I feel like I have a monkey on my back,  paying attention to every little pain. I just completed a physical in Nov  along with a Colonoscopy  plus visited my oncologist a few weeks  ago.  I have  been experiencing chills off and on , not really thinking anything about it but now I have them ALL day. I'm not sick and have no fever. I hate to run to the doctor again Undecided Anybody else have this??? I am also Brac 2 Positive

I did !  I did!!  About the same time you are having them.  I even had a heating pad to put under the quilt in the TV room to keep my feet warm.  It was summer and I'd been wearing t-shirts year round (we live in the mountains and have cold winters) since dx.

All of a sudden I began getting chills.  I finally chalked it up to hormone changes --I was on tamox. but I think my body was just trying to get straight.  Sorta like pregnancy--all sorts of strange goings on.

It finally went away, much to my relief.  In the mean time, just remember to wear layers and get a heating pad.  Good luck

Hi! Since I went into chemo pause I get chills and sweats throughout the day. I sit with a heating pad on me until I get a hot flash. Do you have any open wounds? Chills can sometimes be the first sign of an infection when your skin is compromised.

Chills can also be a sign of hypothyroidism, I think, maybe a good thing to check out!

I second the tyroid test.  Mine has been out of whack since I had ooph/hys and I know menopause does a number on it.

However, if you are on an AI, it's perfectly normal.  For menopause it's normal also.

Take your temp.  If it's low, it may be your thyroid.

Rburke, when I went through menopause and then again on Femara (an AI) I would sometimes get hot flashes and sometimes get chills. It all has something to do with estrogen and body temperature regulation

It would have been nice if I'd gotten the hot flashes in the winter and the chills in the summer. But,no....

    All the best.

    Leah
