I also have a partially occluded carotid artery from the radiation of my supraclavicular area!! GRRRRR!

And oh yea! I am also going deaf in that ear , the treated side!

I'm a yellow canary, so listen up and look out!

    Doe, I get it. I had left side rads and had a very blocked left anterior descending artery on my heart before I even finished rads. It had been OK just 3 months before when I had an angiogram. They wanted to do open heart surgery, but decided that I wouldn't heal right after rads, so I ended up with a difficult to do stent.

    Radiation can do LOTS of damage to your blood vessels.

    Thanks for your reply. I've been told there is no surgery for radiation induced occluded carotid artery except a stent. The artery is basically fried. So I have doubts about it's stability in handling a stent. How is yours doing in your anterior?
