getting very worried about remaining boob, any ideas?

hi ladies,

i have a modified radical macestomy of the left breast in 2009, my right breast has been quite sore for a while now, i put it down to hormonal confusion (my body is not sure whether its in menopause or not), the last two days however i cant even lie on it, i have no visible lump, no visibe infection or other sign of bc but it feels like the other boob did when the large abcess was forming and very agressive bugger (cancer) was eating through healthy tissue at an alarming rate. its not hot to touch like last time and have no skin discoulouration or dimpling like last time, but deep breath needed to even put bra on, i have to wear one as waiting on reconstruction of left breast so prosthetic bra still needed.

i was just wondering could this be a cyst, i have small dense breast that seems a bit larger than normal but have nothing to compare it too just judging by my bra. i cant discuss it with my dh as he thinks everything could be cancer recurrence and am trying to convince him that its behind us and time to move on. how long should i leave it to see if it improves before going to doc, breast clinic or oncologist, i have mammogram coming up in March, oncologist in april and lymphedemna specialist next week.

    hipe2, It sounds like the best thing to do would be get it checked ASAP especially since it's so sensitive.  Call you oncologist's office, perhaps, to get help with the logistics.  We can't be to careful, I say.  G.
