I never check labels....for face moisturizer, I use Clinique...for lotion I love Gold Bond creme as it is not greasy...use chapstick...and a variety of different eye shadows, tinted moisturizer etc....not sure I want to start reading labels as then I will have to struggle to find new products I like....its the tinted moisturizer, the stuff to hide dark circles under my eyes (blanking on what the term is) and lotions that are the hardest to find ones that don't annoy me.....so am I keeping my head in the sand!!!!

One other line that has not been updated on the Cosmetic Data site is Origins. It is now paraben and pthalate free and they have some great products! I like Mychelle and Avalon Organics as well.

Hi ehouben,
Are you asking because you are looking for recommendations? Or are you just trying to sell your product?

Hi, Shanagirl, Thank you so much for all the info. I may have missed this when I was reading your list, but is the Store "Origins" listed.????? Origins is located in most of the malls and in Indiana, it is located inside Macy's. I have gone there for the last two years and they advertise that all the cosmetics are paraben free. I really love their products. Have a great day, and thanks for all your research. God bless you, Kathy

Does anyone have any links to actual facts on whether parabens do cause BC?
My drs. pooh pooh it and say it's far too little an amount, that you'd have to bathe in the stuff for days on end to get it to disrupt endocrine function.
-
i can't help it...
the one
the only
lube that works for me, and doesn't make sex hurt, and makes it enjoyable has 2 kinds of parabens in it. my heart sank when i read the ingredients.
but i can't not use it! i have tried everything!!!

anniealso- I know there are lots of studies on parabens effects. Perhaps try pubmed.gov where they list all published studies. I find medical doctors pooh pooh everything other than what they have been taught (long ago!). As for having to bathe in chemicals to disrupt endocrine function....we practically ARE bathing in chemicals. Since the early 60s, there are bzillions of chemicals surrounding us daily (carpets, plastics, synthetic fragrance, parabens). They really don't know what effect they have on us and especially in combination with each other. Ask your doctor why the epidemiology studies show such increases in all cancers, it can't just be better detection! For me, I see no harm in reducing the chemical, paraben load I am exposed to....and it might help. I'm sure even your doctor will say there is no harm in cleaning up your environment. Check out breastcancerchoices.org the tab about detoxing (house, cosmetics etc...) they may have some articles there.

Go to the BCO home page and click the tab at top "Lower Your Risk." Then click "How Safe are your Cosmetics." It's not in-depth, but hits the highlights about parabens/phthalates. Has some other links from there.

I've been trying to find an alternative to my fine mist hair spray. Although I used it sparingly all my research indicated that it's not a good thing. I found Andalou hair mist at whole foods and have changed over. They just launched a website http://www.andalou.com/. All of their products are organic and natural and contain no parabens or sulfates. I am going to try some of the other products too as I continue my switch to natural products with no parabens etc.

Hi Guys,
I would also recommend Obligé by Nature, this is a unique brand and there products are from 70 to 100% Organic!
Check our their website at www.obligebynature.com
Thanks
