Like mother, like daughter!
-
Blue, your daughter is stunningly beautiful!!! Takes after Mum?
Shokk -- I thought of the South Park movie right away. Loved it! But wasn't the song Blame Canada? And all the Canucks had those funny heads. Then there's Terrence and Phillips. Hmmm, that could be why I'm doing so well on the Stage IV Queen of Gas thread!
-
Blue, your daughter is beautiful. She would look good on a CSI - how does that sound CSI Canada.
-
Love the idea of CSI Canada. I am sure our great neighbor to the north has weird homicides in need of solving. Agreed...like mother like daughter.
-
Blue
Beautiful kid. I know you must be a very proud mom.
-
She's in an upcoming episode of Urban Legends. Filmed in early December I think. Don't know when it will air though.
Thank you all. I am very proud of her. She has been my rock through all my rough times. Very mature young lady!
-
Blue, she is so beautiful. No CSI Canada - they're too nice to kill each other. Bwahahahaha!
-
No Shokk - I don't watch South Park. Still don't get your joke, if it's a joke.
-
Has anyone seen the movie Canadian Bacon. The negative comments about Canada remind me of that movie. It was very funny, it had John Candy and Rhea Perlman in it.

I love the series Trailer Park Boys.
-
KitKat I think that on their tee shirts it said Stop Canada.......at least on the youtube video I posted somewhere else........
anyway this is a bit off subject but if anyone is interested there is an organization that I hope to be able to do when the youngest and oldest are gone and I am all alone............
anyway it is called Sisters On the Fly......website and on facebook.....it is a large group of women that twice a year they all meet on the road with their cute little travel trailers and go somewhere....I think last year they went to Las Vegas......
They have three rules.....1. No husbands or SO others .....2.no Children or grandchildren and 3. no pets.........the idea is for one week you are not responsible for one other human being except yourself.....anyway there is youtube video.....a book has been written......and their website and facebook.....it looks like a blast.......oh and I think they have have decided no Canadians.....(Lassie I am just kidding)........shok
-
Shok. post it here. I've been banned elsewhere (don't know why) and am too lazy to search for it as a guest.
-
Laura, you're kidding..........right?
-
Ugh -- couldn't pay me to watch trailor park boys. Yuck! And I bet you're kidding Laura!
-
Never saw Trailer Park Boys.
-
I just saw a commercial for it ages ago and thought it was stupid and gross. I guess it's targeted for teenage boys...
-
ROFL - I think my post made a few of you girls mildly gasp and spit ice cream at your computer screens.
Too funny.
Would you be surprised if I said YES - I think it's hysterical? ROFL
-
I watched a few minutes of it a while back and changed the station. I can swear like a sailor if I have to but they put me to shame.
-
kona - So if I said I liked it, would that make me a teenage boy? lol
blue - LMBO

So who's watching the super bowl? Can't wait for the half time show and Glee afterwards. They are doing a special on Michael Jackson. I loved Michael!!
And I really don't care who wins! hehe!
-
blue-if your daughter ever needs to do auditions or wants to do the new york scene, she is welcome to the spare bedroom at our house. We're 1 hour from nyc. Both my DD's are sag and oldest is Equity so I do understand the need for connections when they're starting out. sorry, don't have any connections for LA.
-
Thanks so much Flash. I will let her know. She has done quite a bit of theater here and even directed a show.
-
flash...what you offered to blue's daughter just blew me away. truly, this board is amazing...
-
Medigal, if I can figure out how to attach a photo, I'll show you one of Me & DH in front of "your" mountain!
-
Awesome picture Ann .. you and DH look great, and the mountain is pretty cool too!

Anne: Bless your heart!!! Thank you so much for finding "my" mountain!! I bet it didn't take you almost 40 years to find it though! That's how long I searched for it and there you and your wonderful hubby are standing in a photo of it. If only my brother had known the name of the mountain I could have gone straight to it but all he knew was that it was "far away from us". Well, at least I proved that not only the rich could get to that mountain! If you are rich, it's ok. I won't hold it against you because I am just so thrilled to see the photo,
What a great photo of the two of you. You look like you must have climbed up to it to get that close! I didn't know one could get so close to it. I can't climb anything so I guess I was lucky to see what I did of it. Our motel said we had a view of it but I had to practically hang out the window to see it from our room! Are you and hubby mountain climbers? It's so wonderful when you have a mate that likes to do the same things you do. I am going to find a way to save that photo and whenever I look at it, I am going to put myself right up there with you!! What a joy! Thank you so much dear one for sharing this with me. Have a great night. Guess what I'll be dreaming of? "Our" mountain!
-
I've got several pictures of your maountain. If you PM me your email, I'll send them to you!
The year after my first cancer, we decided to quit putting off the stuff we wanted to do. So, we signed up for an 11 day trek along The Haut Route, from Chamonix, France to Zermatt, Switzerland. It was a fabulous trip. To get up to the base of the Matterhorn, we could have hiked, but were beat by that time, so we took the furnicular (cable cars) up to that point.
I was 46 then. We love to hike, and living in the CO mountains makes it easy. I rock climb, but he doesn't. He enjoys cycling more than I do, but we did a 7 day ride across Wyoming last summer. This year we're hiking in Peru.
We're not rich, but we're comfortable. And I guess that's all relative, too, isn't it?
-
what a beautiful couple. inspiring thinking about doing the things we all put off 'til later.thanks Anne
-
Anne, great picture!

shok(K) satd
yeah the Canadians are sitting around the hockey rink and thinking let's convince those stupid Americans that it is just immoral to drill for oil because of all the wildlife will be hurt.........we will get Al Gore to help us........he will do anything for money...........and then we will do all the drilling we want even out of the oil shell reserves that are actually part of American's reserve and we will sell them their own freaking oil............
and" Stop Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
That seemed negative to me whether it was meant that way or not.
Anyway, Canadian Bacon is still a funny movie.
