Thinking Out Loud.....

Is there anything that you can recall that your father does enjoy talking about? or at least that he did enjoy? Perhaps you can steer the conversation in that direction. Does he enjoy talking about when he was growing up?
I remember when my grnadfather was losing it, he couldn't live in the moment, it was either what was in the past, or what was going to happen. When I'd arrive, it was obsessed with when someone else would come visit.
I will pray for a break for you, Sheila. (Not patience because then you'll get an opportunity to use it).
-
Meece...Unless he has something to complaint he is not happy.
He is really sick with this obsessive behavior that something should be always wrong with him and when he gets the clear that hes fine doesn't like it.
How come you are still home.????????
-
I am not, DH decided to drive, so I am in the co-pilot seat. My appointment is not for an hour, and we only have about a mile of city drivng left. DH hates to be running close to the time.
-
You know we are all in your pocket with you.
Please don't squish us.
Thinking of You Meece♥
-
Good luck Meece. I will be thinking of you and praying!
Sheila, so sorry to hear about yoru father. I like (Meece's??) suggestion of changing the conversation to something he enjoys. I hope that works. Also, is it his sister that is sick? Maybe you could talk about that so he understand how she is doing. XOXOXO
-
((((((((((((Everyone))))))))))))
Thinking of you, Meece.
Sorry Sheila, that you are having such difficulty with your dad. I lack social skills under normal circumstances, so I don't have any advice for how to deal with difficult people.
And I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope they can help her at the hospital.
I don't want to go shovel snow off the roof again... And this is just the roof of the back porch. I can't really reach the roof of the house. I'm so worried about what will happen after tomorrow's storm...
-
My aunt is my mother's sister.
-
Ahh. I guess that won't work.
Maybe have some dessert before you call him. There is so much snow on our roof too Chris. We cannot get up there. There was another roof collapse a couple towns over and it makes me nervous every time I hear it. We got a reverse 911 call warning people about their roofs too. Not pretty.
-
Is it too early for dessert?
-
-
It's never to early for dedssert when it's snowing. Or raining. Or a really nice day. Or a really bad day. Or on a Monday, or a Tuesday....you get the picture.
-
-
Okay im ready for my dessert. Its smiling at me.
-
I just had my dessert and I haven't even eaten dinner yet. LONG day and my body hurts. Thank God for snowblowers. I made chicken noodle soup and salads for dinner. Just haven't eaten them yet. The chocolate martini dessert is much better for me.
How are your bruises today Sheila?
Thinking of you Meece.
Hope my Boa friend is having a good day too/
-
Colorful and still swollen. No Pain.
Dessert is so good.
-
I wish I lived closer! Like in the apartment next to you. Then I wouldn't have to shovel and we could share dessert!
-
I want dessert. I have to start my clear liquid diet in the morning.
I want to have some fun, this medical stuff is YUCK!!!
-
Love the weather map
Boa friend is ok, not feeling badly at the moment, just tired. I have to go pick up my new glasses before I have dessert. Also need to pay the credit card bill from Christmas - ugh!
I want the top floor apartment, then we can share. I don't like people walking above me.
-
years ago I had a friend right next door.
Some nights after putting the children to bed i used to go there leaving my door open.
I wish you were Linda.
More desserts for me.
-
Sorry to hear about tomorrows diet Meece. Wishing you the best.
Top floor is your Diane. I hope it has a stairway to the roof so we can have some fun up there.
Yes, Sheila, that would be fun!
-
Boa?????????????
-
BOA!! Not the girl. lol!
-
I confess, I have a white cowgirl hat with a white boa - I think that is what Linda means. Did you know that I have a rooftop deck on my house? Is that why you said that?
-
No, I did not know that. Cool. Wouldn't work in this climate, just something else to shovel.
Yes, I was talking about Dianes hat and Boa!
-
Roof Top= Full force VD.
-
CLARIFICATION: That's vitamin D
-
Dirty mind again
After having my 2 serving of desserts I just realized didn't have dinner yet.
-
dinner??
-
Why? Is it too late?
-
It's never to late for dinner or dessert but after 2 desserts I would chose to have a bag of GF for dinner.
