My oncologist said that the best treatment for me is Tamoxifen for 5 years especially since my tumor was small, stage 1 , 0 nodes and no vascular involved. NO CHEMO!

Onco of only 9 four years ago so did lump, rads and Tamoxifen. Cancer back in same location so chemo and masectomies this time. I have watched the chemo shrink the tumors and make them dissappear so it is working. Oncotype said it would be no advantage to me....it was wrong.
-
Oncotype DX score of 16 and did chemotherapy (T & C 4 cycles) finished the end of Nov 2010. Had BMX as well. Arimidex starting in Feb. for 5 years. 49 years old...first time cancer.
-
Mine was 18. Med Onco left it up to me. I declined and am not looking back.
. If I had done it the recommendation was TCx 4. -
My Oncotype score was 16. No Chemo. Had lumpectomy, radiation and Arimidex for 5 years. Started Arimidex Jan. 1. So far no side effects.
-
Oncotype was 23. Did chemo due to the volume of tumor in the breast and the fact that it was pleomorphic lobular and PgR Negative. Good response to the neoadjuvant and (I hope) adjuvant chemo. I had the oncotype after the fact for my own information and to get more accurate ER and PR levels.

Oncotype 12.......no chemo, 35 rads and Arimidex for 5yrs!
-
Oncotype 39...chemo

I don't think I had oncotype done, because there was no way I was getting out of chemo.
-
My oncotype was 23. On letrozole/femoral 5 yrs. I get zometa IV every 6 months for bones. No chemo right now- no more surgeries planned.
Keep wondering about those evil ovaries plotting against me. -

-
Oncotype of 14. Had several opinions... no chemo. Then one said chemo and I went with her. Six months of CMF. I've been taking Ais for six months.
-
Oncotype 17, no chemo no rads, tamoxifen 2.5 years. In December will switch to an AI. Had L mastectomy upon dx, and oopherectomy a year ago. 3 years of IV zometa, biannually.

11 is a popular number of an Oncotype score. It was mine too. Thank goodness Onc recommended I have it done because I was looking at chemo even with just a micromet in the SN. She insisted despite BS saying it was automatic chemo. Test came back with a less aggressive cancer and smaller tumor. Did 33 Rads treatments.
