Does anybody have a n issue with scar tissue?  I have alot of tightening under the mastectomy scar and where I had nodes removed.  My L/E is under control and I have been getting PT, but it really is uncomfortable, especially in cold weather.  I do exercises, but wondering is others have this issue?

Yes, I have scar tissue all around my scar and another scar on the other breast from basal skin cancer excision.  Mine is not always uncomfortable, but it is unsightly.  I sometimes have to convince myself it is just scar tissue and not a new lump ( confirmed by my onc).  My son is getting married in May and the dress I selected does show the one scar.  Wish I could find a way to make it fade.

I recently had some scar work done, which seems to have fixed the tightness I was feeling.  The procedure is painful and controversial, especially with LE.  http://www.grastontechnique.com/

Under my breast was an area that felt "thick" and I was having pulling in my lower rib cage and under my chin.  I am no longer experiencing those sensations. FYI, I did not have a mastectomy, just a lumpectomy, axilla node dissection and radiation to the breast/axilla.

Yes, I've got scar tissue from my mastectomy, node removal and rads.  I've been getting LE therapy since October, and just recently my chest and armpit have been getting uncomforably tight and hard.  My LE therapist has started working on those areas with extra massage (fabulous!), myofacial release and gentle stretching.  It's starting to feel much better.

I had lumpectomy and rads three years ago, then a prophylactic BMX last September (no lymph nodes removed this time). The scar on the previously radiated side is very hard and tight and very raised and thick where the lumpectomy scar was. I will be having scar revision in May or June to remove dog ears on both sides and straighten the scar on non-radiated side. I'm worried that removing the dog ear on rads side will result in even more hard, ugly scarring. Has anyone else had this done?
