I could not wait to get home tonight to post here!!!

I coach cancer survivors for the New Balance Fleet Feet 5k training program called No Boundaries.  The program has about 150 walkers, runners each season - last season we had 5 cancer survivors, this season we are looking at closer to 15. So I was speaking to the group (not cancer survivors) of new mentors for the program about the cancer survivor division - looking to drum up new business :-)

Anyway....

This woman comes up to me after my speech and says...."I am a cancer survivor"  She says "I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 36 and then again when I was 46.  Had chemo and radiation both times"  "I am 66 now and started running last year"

She said she had many positive lymph nodes - in fact is quite sure she was stage 4 (she was probably told that 30 years ago since it had spread to her lymph nodes".  She told me she out lived two oncologists already.

Omg - she was just a bundle of energy and kept telling me to "fight and fight harder!"

ok then!
