Evaluating Size of First Lump on top of Saline Implants

Hi.

I have just been BC diagnosed because of a 4-4.9 cm lump on top of my saline implants. Because the saline implants replaced a lot of removed breast tissue, I'm thinking that the stage of my lump can be reduced when compared to a woman without implants - because there is less breast tissue to be involved under the lump.

I have not been able to find any information on this topic [except for some articles that suggest implants do not cause breast cancer.] I will appreciate any comments on this.

Thank you.

I too had saline implants and a now I only have one saline implantCry Not sure if the staging will get reduced but I am seeing an oncologist on the 26th (first time ) and will let you know if he changes my staging. I have a feeling the 1b stage I am at now is going to go up.
