Thank you all for your thoughts. I'm trying to feel better, but I think I'm going to need some therapy. I've never had depression before, but I've suffered from anxiety for about 10 years. I was on Zoloft for a few years, and now I'm on Effexor. The doctor doubled my dose of Effexor about 3 months ago, and now this.
TANASHA! So excited for you! I can't wait to see pictures of Kennedy, I love her name
Your good news makes it a good day.
Michelle
-
Congratulations Tanasha!!!
Michelle: Hang in there.
-
Tanasha congratulations, and what a sweet name! Hope both of you are doing well.
Michelle I could have written your post too. You expressed the feeling really well. I hope the act of expressing it here and elsewhere is helping. I saw a counsellor on and off in the latter part of last year and it helped. So I think your therapy idea is a really good one.
All I have been following this thread and always glad to read all of your news. I send my love to you all.
-
Tanasha- Congratulations! Can't wait to see pics!
Nice to see you Sakura- I've been dealing with depression too- I went back on Wellbutrin and I have seen a counselor a few times. Congrats on 2 years tomorrow!
-
Hi,
Glad to hear from you Rachel..Hope all is well with you.
Just realized that I have over a 1000 postings. Has it been that long..
Hugs,
Francine

Hello everyone. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Anxiously awaiting baby pics.
Nice to see you Rachel. Have you had any of the severe flooding that we've seen reports on?
Francine: a thousand posts....wow I guess it has been that along. Thank you for all of your valuable contributions here.

Hi Ladies,
Another shot of snow today. It has been quite some winter here in the NYC area .
I see so many of us saw Tanasha's baby Kennedy on Facebook. What a sweetheart.
It is just so wonderful that we are now celebrating a new life after all we have shared together..
Hugs,
Francine
-
Love your new picture Francine. You look terrific.
Yes indeed it is wonderful that we are celebrating a new life. She is adorable.
We have shared a lot together and everyone's input and support has been tremendous.
I see that BC.Org is having a fundraiser in NYC in February (bowling) . Will you be participating?
We are leaving for Mexico (Mayan Riviera) on Sunday for one week...can't wait.We are a group of 10 so it will be a week full of laughs for sure. We will be flying back home on SuperBowl Sunday so I will be wearing my Steelers jersey on the return flight.
Francine...any new travel plans? A winter getaway?
The weather here has been great since last Thursday. The snow is melting...and believe me...there is a lot of it. It is supposed to be 7c ( 44 F) tomorrow. Beautiful sunshine. It's a welcome relief because we have had a crazy cold winter so far.
Hugs,
Beth
-
Hi ,
Beth- glad you like my new avatar. It was taken New Years Eve. I cut my DH out of the photo.
I checked out that Bowling thing. It appears to be a corporate event. It seems to observe it costs 250 dollars. Not the run of the mill fundraiser.
Yes we are going on a cruise Febraury 12 for a week out of NYC. WE stop at Orlando ( Port Canaveral ) and we will meet up with a lady I met on this board ( another topic) two years ago. We met once before..
Beth your getaway sounds like a lot of fun with all those people. I remember you went last year also.
Your weather sounds great. Can you send it here. Been real cold and snowy.
Yes good news is always welcomed . Once again.. great news Tanasha..
Hugs,
Francine
-
Francine- your hair looks so cute! I am still letting mine grow before getting another hair cut. If I don't pull it back, its all in my face and annoying, but in a few months I will have a legimate ponytail!
Congrats Tanasha and Kennedy! she's so cute!
-
Congrats Tanasha on the birth of Kennedy! That is so wonderful, you must be over the moon.
Big hugs Michelle, Rachel, and Dayla, and anyone else who may be experiencing depression. Therapy is wonderful, and I am sure it would work wonders for you.
Francine and BethP - have wonderful vacations!
Hello to everyone else, I am still lurking and reading... I just don't have much going on. Which is not a bad thing!
-
Congratulations Tanansha...the pic on facebook is sooooo cute. It is such a breath of fresh air to see a new soul amongst all of us! Less than 2 years ago we didn't know our fates and now...a new beginning!
I hope everyone enjoys your getaways...nothing like a trip to clear the head!
Francine...love your hair...your pic looks awesome!
Michelle...hang in there. Try to find something, however small it may be, that brings you joy. Try to spend more and more time enjoying THAT time. Sometimes making connections to a "happy thought" can spread that "happy thought" further! Make any sense??? I love watching my boys play sports. So, when I am not having a good day I remember an event they were in and it brings a smile to my face...sometimes I can forget what was making me feel so awful to begin with. You have been blessed with a lot of gifts but sometimes they are hard to see through the forest. Know that people love and care for you...
Take care...
PS Go STEELERS!!!
-
Hi Chris
Nice to see you and you always have such thoughtful posts.
Yes.....Go Steelers! -
Another big storm in NYC..It's getting very tiresome.
BethP...Have wonderful time in Mexico...You deserve it.
Okay ..go Steelers ..
Tanasha..hope all is going well.I know you just love being a mother..
Chris..nice to hear from you...
Hugs,
Francine

Hi all,
Just wanted to pop in and say hello. Not much to report here.
Chris, Rachel.. So nice to hear from you both.
Beth - I hope you have (or are having) a wonderful trip to Mexico. I've never been there but have always wanted to go.
The snow here is starting to melt but they say we may get more later this week. It's so pretty. It was an absolute mess on Wednesday, but now it looks great...
All - I hope you're all well and as usual my best to you all.
Go Steelers (but only because the Eagles aren't in it...)
Beth

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies! I've been trying to breast feed. Having only one breast that knows we just had a baby sucks but, some milk is better than none.
Francine I agree with the others. that's a very cute avatar pic.
-
Hi,
Tanasha...I am sure Kennedy is doing well with your one and only. There's always formula if Kennedy is hungry. Thks for the nice comment about my avatar..
There is a great topic on Moving Beyond Cancer..way down on the board ..Called Bonfire of the Goddesses..Here one can burn whatever..A lot of fun..
HUgs,
Francine
-
Hang in there...breastfeeding isn't easy with 2 good ones when you first start. It will get easier and your breast will be a pumping machine because it will have to produce new milk every time she eats! It's amazing how our bodies meet the demands!!
I am going to be a first time Grammy in August!! I am so excited. God continues to send blessings and remind me of what a wonderful world this can be!
Mexico...love it! I think I will join you (mentally) for just a wee bit!!
Take care all....
Wow....I need a new pic!!
-
Hi ladies,
Chris ..a grandchild..how wonderful. I do believe it is the greatest pleasure one can have ..
Tanasha.. Hope your breast is meeting up to it's demands. You are so great to be breastfeeding. WE are all so proud of our new mother..
Snow again in the NY area..Eighth storm this year..
Hugs,
Francine
-
Congratulations Chris on the upcoming birth of your 1st grandchild.
-
Trying to post a pic we just got today! Can't figure out how I did it before
(
-
Here is the first pic of my grandbaby!!
I am 2 years out from the day they told me I had this awful disease. I couldn't see me living long enough to see a grandchild and now....I am sure this is the first of many!!
-
Chris,
What a great photo! So cute!
Yes I am sure this will be the first of many...
My how time flies..
You sound so happy and so well. You deserve this joy..
Will this be the elusive girl?
Hugs,
Francine
-
Francine...sooner or later there has to be a girl in this family!!
-
Chris,
Met a woman at my dermatoligists office the other day. She began to talk to me and told me..I don't know why..that her father in law was one of 14 children...13 men and 1 woman. Can you believe that. LOL.
I hope you will get your little girl..
Is your son going to ask what it will be before..
Hugs,
Francine
