Chicago?
Hi, I am coming to Chicago for the midwinter dental meeting and was wondering if any of you live there and might want to get together for dinner or something. I will be there from Feb. 24- Feb 27, most likely getting there late afternoon on the 23rd. I know it is a crappy time of year, but this is when they always hold the meeting. My friend and her sister are taking the megbus, but I think I would prefer flying. Of course this all depends on how my treatment goes and I only started it on Wed. so may be feeling like crap and not even make it there.....however as of now I am registered for cont ed classes on 24th, 25th and 26th AM. Last time I went my friends were content to eat in the hotel, but I would like to maybe go out for Chicago pizza or a nice meal and always enjoy meeting other women who post on this board.....and we don't even have to talk BC unless you want to.

Nobody living near Chicago? Or just nobody wanting to meet me?

Surely someone has to live in the Chicago area? It looks like I am going to be stuck spending the entire time with dental people. Got my ticket on the megabus for $10....what a deal.

I live in Chicago! Right across from the nature museam and zoo. You might also post on the illinios ladies thread. Great group and quite active. Most live in the burbs but some do like to get into the city.
I had my last chemo yesterday so I should be feeling pretty decent by then. Just pm me to remind me and we can go eat. I know lots of interesting ethinic places too if you want to try something other than pizza.

Iago! That would be wonderful....I will remind you a few weeks before and then you can let me know what works for you. We are staying at the Palmer House and the convention is at McCormic Place. I have seen your posts on several threads and will be very happy to meet you. I like all kinds of food.

Great. Palmer house is less than 5mi from me (10 minute drive/cab but I can do public transportation too). McCormick is about 6mi. (9 minute drive)
Granted those drive times are good between 10PM and 7Am. Could take a bit more at certain times of the day
and do post in the Illinois ladies thread. Nice if we got a few to join us. We can exchange phone numbers when the time gets closer and you know for sure you're coming.

OK, I posted on it so will wait and see who may want to join us. I plan on coming for sure unless the Gemzar starts doing strange things to me, but so far no SEs whatsoever which actually sort of has me worried.

Hey, maybe I should meet you ladies too! GOD how fun would THAT be!!!! :-)
