I received a grant for financial help after my BC diagnosis.   I got a check every 2 weeks.   Do I claim this as income on my tax return?   Will the organization send me a w2 or something like that?

  Fearless_One:  Where are you from?  In California, that would be non-taxable income.  I believe that is also true nationwide.

  Also, there is a line for it on your returns, but I don't think it's taxed.

  I am in Florida, the organization is in Maryland.
