Needle Biopsy Wednesday - yikes!
Hello everybody. I tried posting this last night and ended up posting 3 times, I guess me and the computer don't get along lol. I'm hoping with a new subject somebody will post a reply. I was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma. I've had a bilateral mastectomy, TRAM flap reconstruction, chemo and now Herceptin for HER2+. I went for my herceptin treatment on the 7th of this month and the doc found a 2cm x 3cm lesion at the margin of the mastectomy. She said it could be scar tissue or it could be a tumor. I was immediately set up for an ultrasound. The doc said he couldn't tell by the ultrasound whether it was scar tissue or a tumor. He did say it was lobular which concerned me. The first appointment I could get is this coming Wednesday. I'm extremely nervous. Has anybody else had something like this? I hope someone replies to this post. I apologize for the other 3 posts that I guess I messed up. I would appreciate anything that anyone has to say, I'm a mess. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

I don't have bc but am watching a lump. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone and someone will come along and offer better advice than me. Bumping this up for you! Will be praying for you.

Thank you meme...and I will be praying for you as well. I appreciate you responding

Awwww man, the waiting totally stinks. I assume that after the biopsy you will still have to wait several days for the pathology. Think positive thoughts, as much as possible, and I will be praying for good news. Please remember to let us know how it goes!

No words of advice but I just wanted to wish you good luck on Wednesday. Fingers and various other appendages are crossed for you, hoping that it turns out to be scar tissue!

Thank you Susan and Beesie for your kind words and for your ecouragement. The waiting game is the worst, but I'm staying positive and praying that it's just scar tissue too. I will keep you all posted and I so appreciate you replying. Thank you

a friend's mother went through nightmares with skin separation from a Tram Flap. The fatty tissues underneath did not want to 'bind', fat doesn't adhere together like muscles tissue. Great News! Congrats!
