I am so sorry to hear this. I remember her as a Stage III sister when I first came here and it was a big shock when she found out that she had mets not all that long ago. I still wasn't used to the idea that she was posting on the Stage IV thread instead of here. She was doing well before Xmas so I think this is a surprise for many. I know she had troubles with her heart because of chemo, so maybe that has something to do with it. I just feel so sad for her and her family.

I stumbled on the post too - am shocked.  She was doing well.  Doc gave her a chemo break in Nov.  WTF?  I don't get it.  I don't know what happened.  I generally try to post only positive things anymore but I am very upset about this and have no where to go with it.

On the one hand, I am glad she was feeling better and didn't suffer for long - on the other hand...how could that happen so quickly?  Scary sh-t.

    rant over. thanks for listening.

Everyminute- I know, I feel thrown for a loop as well....I remember less than a year ago a funny discussion she had with her husband about stats. He said that stats don't really matter (she was stage III then) because anyway the world is supposed to end in 2012 and then its lights out for everyone. She said it made her laugh. Then she said her husband turned all sweet and said if I lost you then my world will end.

It was a remark from a different and more light-hearted time for them, but it breaks my heart to think of what her family is going through now.

    My sympathies to Diana's family.....

My husband asked me yesterday if I worry when I hear that someone with my similar Hx progresses and of course he knew the answer....he describes BC as a time bomb ticking away, that you just don't know when it will go off....Some one we know who had similar Dx to me but a 3 or so years ahead of me, is in the hospital with mets.....she isn't taking visitors...but I want to make her a basket of cookies to just say I'm thinking of her....Don't know all the details, but it has me in a funk....we are more acquaintances of many years, but when I was Dx she called hubby and me and talked to each one of us.....

DAMN....I hate the F****** disease........We all want to grow old and be healthy!!!

Looking on Facebook it sounds as though she was fine up until 18th December, but by 30th Dec things had taken a turn for the worse. That is so fast. Scary.

I guess there is comfort in knowing that she didn't suffer long, but it is so unfair.  I can't believe she is gone.

I know her first bout with chemo gave her congestive heart failure.  I am wondering if her heart started acting up again.  So sad, she was such a kind and gentle soul.

I saw the news on the Stage IV thread and am so sorry to hear that she's passed.  She was very nice and I missed her posting here.

Something in the back of my mind is telling me that she mentioned having problems with her heart......did that play a role into her quick decline?

I'm so sorry to hear this. I remember when she was a stage III sister last year and suddenly was restaged to stage IV.  I felt so terrible that her cancer had advanced.  Funny, but she has popped into my mind a few times in the last few weeks.  Rest in peace Diana63.

Krcll - I remember that conversation about the world ending in 2012 and all, too.  It was so sweet.  I'm stunned.....just so sad.
