Numb hands at night
I have mild LE in my left arm. I've been doing MLD, wear a day sleeve, and have been wrapping at night. Lately I've been waking in the middle of the night with my arm completely numb. I've gone a couple of nights without the wraps, but my hand still gets tingly. My LE therapist will try to fit me in next week, but thought I'd check and see if anyone has had a similar experience. Sometimes I get the sparkler feeling in my tricep too; hot in the upper arm, and a cold tingly thing going on in my hand. Sometimes a vertigo feeling when I'm laying down too. This is exhausting.

Alex, it sounds exhausting--the only times I've gotten numb hands are when I've wrapped too tightly. Although I'm also dealing with a shoulder issue right now, and my hands feel a bit tingly--so time to see the PT.
I have a problem with vertigo, and vertigo when you lay down is often "benign positional vertigo"--a piece of calcium in the semicircular canal that has gotten misplaced. It can cause "bed spins"--there are manuevers to get rid of it, but it often resolves on its own:

The whole arm completely numb sounds like it's coming from higher up--like the neck or brachial plexus.
What a royal pain, and I hope the therapist can help

Thank you Kira - I'm so grateful for your advice. When I spoke with my therapist on the phone he also mentioned the brachial plexus. Oy. I read the link you provided and that sounds exactly like what has been happening to me recently. I'm happy to hear at least ONE thing might resolve on it's own! The bed spins are a bummer however, but likely harmless (let's hope). I wish we all had a nickle for every minute we spend working on our LE issues - we could all book a charter cruise with really hot therapists!

I'll join you on the cruise--we do deserve some rest and relaxation

Oh an LE cruise. DEvine. With therapy and wrapping all done for us by the best therapist in the world. Pool exercising too. (And our bathing suits fit perfectly of course.) And where all our new sleeves fit perfectly too.
Also, where we can eat what we want and it doesn't affect our LE. Ahhhhhhh.........
Alex, I hope you are able to get these issues resolved. When wrapped, often my finger tips are cold and my thumb falls asleep. I have to place my hand in a certain position. Let me rephrase, I have to REMEMBER to put my hand in a certain position and cover it up with the blanket.
