Yes, we stage 111'ers have a good deal to be thankful for. First, most of us basically still have our health. We are, many of us, scared to death half the time. We wait agonizingly long periods of time for test results,we tolerate a lot of stupidity; many of us have treatment se's, chemo brain, world class hot flashes, but most of us have come out the other end forever changed, yet, intact.
Most of us pretty regularly, myself included, reassure newbies that they are going to be okay and mean it. And yet, I have to confess, I'm still petrified at the thought of metastasis, eight years out.
And yet, this underlying fear which is always there seems to make my life better, richer, more thankful.

Enjoy this time with family and friends! Happy turkey day, everyone!

I apologize for the late post, but HAPPY THANKSGIVING and I hope that everyone had a great day.

It has been one fantastic Thanksgiving! TE exchanged for silicone implants yesterday and my port, which had been in for exactly one year and one day, was removed!
I'm sore but overall I feel great!
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Yes, I'm thankful that I've been able to move on with my life in many ways. BC isn't keeping me down, though it tried to and may yet rear it's ugly head again. I just don't have the time to worry about that. I'm buying my own place in a few weeks, so there will be moving and decorating. And I have a 19 yo at home, so she gives me enough things to really worry about, lol. No time to dwell on the "what ifs".
But the greatest thanks is for all the support I've received from my family and friends here. I truly could not have done it without the in-person and online help from my sisters and sistahs!

We are one great group of girls!

Oh my gosh Sherri. I'm cracking up, but only because I've had moments just like that. So Happy Thanksgiving!

Sherri - couldn't resist!
