I am a bit scared

Options

I have this pea sized lump on my diep scar(side cancer was on) I have a mammo and ultrasound next Tuesday. Each day I get more and more convinced that the beast has returned. The lump is hard and does not move when I feel it. I know it could bt fat or scar tissue but I am still freaking out. I just wish none of us had to live with this fear every day. Every ache and pain is frightening.

I can't seem to concentrate on anything else.

    D4,

I had the exact same thing on my mastectomy scar about a year ago.  I was freaking, a little, and then the radiation oncologist took one look at it and told me it was nothing.  He was right-I had two of those bumps and they disappeared about a month later.  WHEW!  I hope the same goes for you!

Thank You. Part of me knows it's nothing but I can't help but wonder. I thought my biopsy would come back B9 in 2009 and I was wrong. I just have to get through the wait which is the worst part of it.

    Hi,

This is probably nothing as you know but maybe ask your Dr for some something to help you sleep until after these tests are done??

I know you can't help but worry, and sending good wishes for benign results!

Hi D4Hope!  I hope you are able to find some relaxing activities to keep you occupied until your appointment. It's totally normal to worry about every little thing once diagnosed, but it may be helpful to just try and keep busy until Tuesday (hard, I know ).

I've also been freaking out a bit the last few days.  I haven't been feeling well, and ended up googling "ovarian cancer symptoms"- I basically have all of them.  Trying not to go off the deep end, since the symptoms could mean many things besides cancer.  I see my onc next week, so if I still feel this way, I'll talk to him about it.

I hope you are able to sleep some tonight.  I'll be sending positive vibesSmile

    Hugs,

    Sherrill

Thank you everyone. I am so very grateful and relieved. The fear just never leaves though.
