I am about to go shopping for a prostitis or Been a Boob and would like to get some feedback on what prostistis is best. I work as a housekeeper and am on a sick leave at the moment. Will be returning to work and just want to get the right type of prostistis. Can anyone help me out please. thnx Kathryn

     Hi Kathryn,

check out this discussion board -

    Breast Prostheses and Reconstruction Alternatives

    http://community.breastcancer.org/forum/82

I think you will have better luck getting help on different types of prostheses there.  Also, is there a breast cancer support group in your area that might provide advice? The hospital where you had your surgery or your surgeon's office might be able to help connect you to such a group.

    Good luck,

    Julie E

I have a Been a Boob and also an Amoena Essential Light prosthesis.  I like the Amoena much better.  I originally got the Been a Boob to use when swimming but it got really hard when it was full of water, so I ended up buying an Amoena swim prosthesis and it is more comfortable.  But ---- the Been a Boob is much cheaper than the Amoena.  Hope this helps.
