Can someone help me to understand my report? I am going for biopsy tomorrow but radiologist came in and talked to me after tech did Mammo. Said cancer very likely. Here  is part of the report. There are clustered pleomorphic cacifications in the right breast. Greater than 20 calcifications are present.

    HI again Tonya,

I don't think a tech should be telling you that cancer is likely... Was it the Radiologist that said that?  I would think a biopsy was needed before anyone made that determination.

Hang in there, I know you are overloaded with information, but you are not alone.  I looked up images of what my mammogram said I had, so I could make my own determinations before even having the biopsy.  Get a second opinion if you feel unsure.

    Hi tonya p.

Try not to stress too much.  Calcifications can also be b9 changes.

Nobody will know for sure until you have the biopsy done.

As well,,,,if it is something...calcifications are often signs of "early" stage breast cancer....again.....80% of the time...the calcfications themseleves are b9.

Try to relax and not worry about the result until you actually get them.

    Hugs and be strong!
