I can't take this anymore!
Honestly, this is getting to be too much!
So from my previous posts - I had a rash on my left breast. I used some cortisone cream and it faded a bit, then came back a bit bigger. From one spot the size of a nickel to 3 spots the size of a nickel. My punch biopsy come to find out was just of the top layer of skin and not breast tissue. Came back as a juntional nevus (which is a mole - and I had a rash), with superficial and deep perivascular mixed dermatitis. My breast ultrasound I was told was normal. I didn't see the report for that.
The rash has gone. I used a stronger cream and it went away in Nov (I had it from Sept to Nov) My breast hurts. The breast and the nipple are still itchy. I do not feel any lumps. But my nipple is so sensitve it's annoying and worrisome. There is still a burning sensation as well.
My nipple isn't flat, but it's not a "erect" as the other one. It's soft most times when the other is hard if that makes sense.
I am at a loss. I have no idea what to do. This itching is bothersome so much so that I cannot sleep. The pain is mostly when I press on the area that had the rash.
I have searched online and have come up with not much. I cant see the Dermatologist until July 2011. It's been booked for a month and that is the waiting list. I have called others and that is the soonest I can get in.
In IBC what would I be seeing right now?! From Sept 24/10 to now that is. I have no reddness, no swelling, no orange peel, just itching and pain. Ugh, I am so frustrated.
What would you do if it were you?!

My first step would be to see my ob-gyn now for a good 'feel'. Get a copy of the breast ultra sound report to take with you. Get a regular mamo - calcifications, if there are any, show up best on a regular mamo. Express your concern and push until you get an answer that you are satisfied with - end the worry.
That is what I would do.
Hugs and hope it is nothing....LowRider

I was sent for a mammo twice, but each time they decided to do an ultra sound because I am too young and my breasts are too dense apparently. (I am 28)
The Dr felt my breasts and didn't feel anything........
I have an appt with my Dr for the 19th of this month, but that is so long still!
I am just tired of this.

The ultrasound was probably better than the mamo. It does not sound like it's ibc, hopefully you can find more out on the 19th. July is way too long to wait.

The Dr said to take over the counter allergy meds to see if that helps. This itch is drivng me nuts and my breast is still tender and painful. I feel so horrible for posting again with these concerns when there are far worse concerns than mine likely. I just need something to make my breast feel normal again. Thank you for your reassurance Terri.
