Generic Ambien CR 12.5 mg

Hi Ladies!

I hated to start yet another thread, but this week I went to pick up my script for Ambien CR 12.5 mg. They have always been small blue pills, but this time they were white. sooooooooo I just figured here comes the generic brand. I have to pay out of pocket for my medication, and it was cheaper than the real Ambien, but I've been taking it for the past 5 nights and it is DEFINITELY not doing the job the REAL Ambien CR was doing.

I called the pharmacy and asked if I could swap these out for the real deal. He said to call back Monday and speak to a supervisor. Anyway.....I figure I've given it enough nights to do it magic and come Monday morning...........I'm heading back to the drugstore to get my little "blue bullets" back:).

Just wondering if any of you have tried the generic yet, and if so, did you like it?

Thanks and hugs!!!

Yes, I've taken two different types of generic Ambien (10 mg) and have had no trouble with them.  One is small, round & white; the other was oblong and a peach color.  Both seem to work the same - thank goodness, because otherwise I'd never get any sleep.

Hey thanks for the info Alex.

I started taking regular Ambien years ago 5mg, then 10mg.

Then when the extended release came out at 12.5mg I started that and have been very pleased with it. But now they've done gone and made it generic and I don't like the generic version of this one. I can't feel like I've taken anything....no relaxation, sleepiness, etc...........NOTHING!  poopoo :)
