Supplement Help

Is anyone is taking Arimidex and supplements? I dont know what to take, which supplements mix/dont mix?  Also, dealing with lymphedema.  Is there anything that will help move fluid along that I can take with Arimidex.  This is sooooooo confusing!

    Hi NeedAdvice,

     I take several supplements that were recommended by my naturpath. I am on Arimidex, 1mg daily. Have had very little side effects other than some sporadic, slight joint pain.

     Multivitamin;

    Fish Oil: 3000mg/daily - Omega 3 only;

    81mg "baby" aspirin;

    Vitamin D: 7,000 iu (this is short-term; my Vit D level was 22 (ugh! and to think no other doctor cared to check - but that's for another thread);

    Serophos (supports adrenal gland function): 1tab w/ dinner, 1tab @ bedtime;

    Melatonin: 2mg @ bedtime.

    I also try to use flaxseed in all baked goods and am working hard on the diet recommended in the book "Anti-Cancer" - an amazing resource.;

    Hope this helps - feel free to PM if you want!

    Hugs

    I take many of the supplements you list - in addition calcium/magnesium 1,200/600.  Just wanted to call your attention to the question of taking flasxseed in all baked goods.  Because I to am E+ and taking Arimidex - flaxseed, aong with most forms of soy, were two of the tings my doctors at Dana Farber Cancer Insitute told me to avoid.  You may want to ask your doctors how they feel about your using flaxseed - as there seems to be some difference of opinion about this topic among doctors.

    I think it is very important to take something for your bone strength.  I was taking calcium but my naturepath gave me a new bone formula that he makes himself.  I also take vitamin D and because my thyroid function was not good, she gave me selenium and several other nutrients for my matabolism.  I recommend you go to a specialist and not self-medicate.  Nutrients are specific to the person and it was worth every penny to get my blood profiles.
