Patoo, are you ready for the next book in the series?
My mind is scaring me lately. I got up saying I wanted a cup of coffee and peanut butter sandwich for breakfast. I prompty came in the kitchen and poured me a bowl of cereal and milk and then tried to pour the coconut creamer in the cereal instead of the coffee then looked at it and thought why did I do this, this isn't what I wanted. I ate it anyway so it wouldn't go to waste. I keep forgetting the names of movies and sometimes the names of people and call them by someone elses name. I am either losing it or have too many things going on at the same time.

Hi Spar, yes, I finished the one you sent.
Anyone else want The Europa Conspiracy, Tim Lahaye and Bob Phillips. It's part of the Left Behind series. It's really good. PM me if you are interested.
I just picked up to read, again John's Story, also by Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins. It's realy very interesting but I'm always reading a few books at the same time and so don't finish any of them for a long time. I see there is also Mark's Story and Luke's Story so will probably also pick them up as well, but not until after I finish John's Story. With the Arimidex it difficult enough concentrating on one book at a time. I also have trouble with focusing and really have a problem with vocabulary. I used to be able to come up with words easily and now I really struggle. It's very annoying.
Spar, I didn't keep the envelope you sent the book in. Please PM me your address when you get a chance.
Blessings to all my friends here.
-
Spar, received The Edge of Darkness. Thanks. Any takers on these 2 books when I finish the second? If so PM me and Iwill be sure to send it on.

I have been reading anything I can get my hands on by kincaid the artist. His books are good clean messages with a Christian background. Wonder how I missed him all these years
-
Thanks, I'll have to look him up. I have some of his art on plates and I do believe I have one of his books but it's one of several books I just have but never read. Will have to dig it out and put at the top of my pile.
-
I apologize I spelled his name wrong, can I blame it on chemo brain. It is Thomas Kinkade and the cape light series is what I am reading.

I haven't picked it up yet but here's a book that was highly recommended by a co-worker. He says they are doing a study on it at his church. I'm backed up on my reading but if you do pick it up, let us know what you think.
Blessings.

I recommend, "One Word From God can change your Health" by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. Really I recommend anything from them. Their website is www.kcm.org.

I just reread the posts in this thread. Until this morning, no new posts had been added since September. Did everybody quit reading or just move to another thread?
-
Jo - I saw your new post. I am always looking for good things to read. I need to go back and reread through this thread and write down some of the titles. Your suggestion -- Fifty People Every Christian Should Know catches my eye. I may have to look into that.
-
Hey sister readers. Our singles at church just finished a series on a book called "Chasing Daylight" by Erwin Raphael McManus. A great book.
-
Thanks for reviving the thread! I"m gonna start reading my way thru many of these suggestions. Just picked up 'The Shack' to start.
-
Well, I'm glad to see this thread has recently been revived too! I'm in the last stages of publishing a book and have had no time to read anything except my own work. I wanted to see what is being recommended since I will need something to read poolside on my upcoming vacation. What a great place to pick up some ideas...and from ladies that all have so much in common! Has anyone read "Crazy Love"? I've heard that is an excellent book, also. Opinions???

Kathy,
Some people I know are doing a Crazy Love book study. I looked at his website and found it interesting so I got the book. I have only read bits and pieces so far but I have found it interesting. I would recommend it (but like I said I haven't read it cover to cover yet).

Good morning Christians sisters. I'm just dropping in to wish everyone a joyous Noel and to post something I saw somewhere else on the web but I think it is quite poignant and relevant. I know there are so many in great need this year but keep the faith.
The greatest man in History, Jesus, had no servants, yet they called him Master, had no degree, yet they called him Teacher, had no medicines, yet they called him Healer, had no army, yet kings feared him, won no military battles, yet he conquered the world, committed no crime, yet they crucified him...He was buried in a tomb, yet he lives today. HE is the REASON for the SEASON

King of Kings and Lord of Lords Forever and Forever!
The flash mob in Canada. The TRUE meaning of Christmas.
And the most amazing thing...almost everyone not involved applauded when it was over. There were no protesters standing to object. King of Kings....

Luke 2:8-14 (King James Version) 8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.Hark the Herald Angels Sing (Amy Grant)
