Aspirin Part 2!

I know we have had this discussion before, but there seems more evidence on the side of taking a daily Aspirin. These studies dion't specifically mention BC, but it does seem that there could be a general anti-cancer effect.

Hmm. SO CONFUSING!! I was taking it, then stopped because of the risks my naturopath said were associated with it. Back on it I go!!

    Thanks Kerry!!

Thanks for posting Kerry.  I was on this topic, but this is the best write-up so far.

One of those "why wouldn't you's" as long as you tolerate aspirin well.  I do.

This also supports Michelle Holmes' findings in last February's JCO article.  This was not a controlled study, but findings suggest up to a 50% risk reduction in recurrence.  I'm sold.

I asked my Onc last time I saw her if it was OK to take Aspirin - she sort of just laughed, and I said but will it do me any harm. She said no. So, I am sold too.

I've been taking my daily baby aspirin since I finished radiation back in June.  Good to hear it might be helping - thanks, Kerry!

I've been taking it too, although I had a rough start with it.  I started having stomach pain/issues, and of course was worried about mets.  After having an upper and lower gi, he found severe irritation in my stomach lining.  When he found out I was taking aspirin, the nurse who was standing by said "are you taking coated"? Of course I was not, but am now, and have had no more stomach issues---hurray!

Good articles.  And now I can smile when I take my aspirin in the morning knowing that I have at least one drug where no is making major profits off of me!  As opposed to my $20 a pill Aromasin.
