Hi, Ladies,

This is a very scary diagnosis with lots and lots of negative connotations.  I haven't posted in a while.  I'm a triple sister survivor.  I was diagnosised 2 years ago in November of 2008.  I had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation.  I've made the 2 year marker.  One more year and I'll be unofficially pronouced cured.  The bad thing about Triple negative breast cancer is that it is very aggressive and doesn't respond to any known targeted therapy.  The good thing is that it responds very well to chemo.  Another really great thing is that recurrence with Triple negative is greatly reduced by keeping your weight down and with regular exercise.  There is lots of hope and the numbers of Triple negative cured sisters is growing.  I'll post again periodically.  The treatment is rough but there is life during and after Cancer.

Thought I would chime in here as well and give ya some more good vibes. I am 3 yrs 3 months out and still going strong. Hang on day by day and I promise it will get easier! I totally forgot my Cancer versiarry and it was great to just carry on through a normal day without the cancer shadow. It takes a WHILE, but keep positive and live your ;life to the fullest and you will get there!

    XOXO

I celebrated my two year by getting married to my long time sweetie on a beach in the USVI. That was October, so we are walking side by side.

I too was told that TNBC is the "worst of the worst."  I am hoping for a long life, but like most of us, we worry that we are being hunted by that beast.  My best advice is to realize that we are all mortal and to prioritize accordingly.  Take the gondola ride in Venice, or your local equivalent.  Don't let a day go by without enjoying it.  After being told to wait my turn for 48 years, I now can decide not to wait.  What is important can come now.

    Try that.
