    The Pretender by Jackson Browne

    Don't care if you do cause it's understood

    You ain't got no money, You just ain't no good

    Well, I guess if you say so

    I got to pack my things and go

    That's right!

    Hit the Road Jack (don't you come back no more) - Ray Charles

    But my love is bigger than a Honda
    It's bigger than a Subaru

    Pink Cadillac - Bruce Springsteen

    I don't own the clothes I'm wearing

    And the road goes on forever

    And I've got one more silver dollar

    Midnight Rider - The Allman Brothers

    He left his home and went his lone
    And solitary way
    And he gave to me
    A gift I know I never can repay

    Leader of the Band - Dan Fogelberg

    Did you know that true love asks for nothing
    No no her acceptance is the way we pay
    Did you know that life has given love a guarantee
    To last through forever and another day

    As by Stevie Wonder??????

    Better stand tall when they're calling you out
    Don't bend, don't break, baby, don't back down

    It's My Life - Bon Jovi (I just told my son his hair looked like Jon Bon Jovi's today - I would love his hair, especially now!)

    I pulled into Nazareth, was feeling about half past dead;

    I just need someplace where I can lay my head.

    (Susie you're right!)

    The Weight - the Band

    And if you say run, I'll run with you / If you say hide, we'll hide

    Because my love for you / Would break my heart in two

    If you should fall into my arms and tremble like a flower

    Blue Christmas - Elvis

    The sun is shining
    The grass is green
    The orange and palm trees sway.
    I've never seen such a day
    In Beverly Hills LA.
    But it's December the 24th
    And I am longing to be up North.

    Up on the Housetop

    It seems so long since I could say
    "Sister, Susie sitting on a thistle!"
    Gosh, oh gee, how happy I'd be, if I could only whistle

    LOL Allison - I wouldn't have known that group either!  For yours, I knew the 'artist' but wasn't sure of the official song name so looked it up.

    The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don't Be Late)

    So this is Christmas
    And what have we done
    Another year over
    And a new one just begun

    We Need a Little Christmas

    Come and trim my Christmas tree
    With some decorations bought at Tiffany's

    Let's see if you believe in me

    Santa Baby (Eartha Kitt)

    I spilled some ink on Mommy's rug
    I made Tommy eat a bug
    Bought some gum with a penny slug
    Somebody snitched on me

    ...Santa Claus comes tonight

    Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus Lane

    Xxx xx xxxx xxx Xxxxxxxxx / You can count on me.
    Please have snow and mistletoe / And presents on the tree.

    Christmas Eve will find me / Where the love-light gleams.
    Xxx xx xxxx xxx Xxxxxxxxx / If only in my dreams.

    ~~~~~~~~~
    Bing Crosby recorded (this song) in 1943 and it instantly topped the charts as the one of America's most popular holiday songs along with 'White Christmas'.  It touched the hearts of the soldiers and civilians alike who were still going through World War II and made Crosby earn his fifth gold record. In December 1965, when the astronauts Frank Borman and James Lovell were returning to Earth after setting a record for the longest flight in the US space program aboard Gemini 7 spacecraft, they requested this carol to be played for them.
    I'm 0 for 2!  Please Come Home for Christmas - Aaron Neville
    OK how about something more traditional  :-)
    There's a happy feeling nothing in the world can buy
    When they pass around the coffee and the pumpkin pie
