I saw a genetisist this time around and he actually suggested an ooph as the best preventative to ovarian cancer which, as you say, we have a higher than usual risk. I am about to go the double mx as a preventative but after reading your story it makes me wonder why? Ooph is definitely on my list of things to work through. I've not heard of anyone having a full hysterectomy as a preventative only ooph.

Hi Ladies! I was so glad to find this thread.....I thought I was the only "two timer" out there! I was 27 the 1st time(DCIS, lumpectomy and radiation). The second time I was 38(bilat mastectomies, DIEP Flap, 4 rounds of t/c, and after my hystectomy...now Arimidex)!! This last time was a recurrance of DCIS, IDC, and Padgetts Disease. I am now Cancer free, and feel very blessed to say that, but today I have a terrible feeling it is back! I know that it almost sounds irrational, I am usually very positive, I have started a support group, and speak to other survivors(even to a US Senitor).....but I can't shake it!! I knew it the 1st time, I knew it the 2nd time(driving to the mammogram I had this same feeling)....I havent told anyone, maybe it will pass......Thank you all for listening, and if anyone outthere has had this, please tell me I am NOT crazy!!

    Thanks, Pam

Pam, I hope it's not back and just a moment of panic. You're not crazy!  Well, maybe we all are a bit:)
