Cell Power????

Options

Anyone heard of this?  It is drops you put in your water that is supposed to help balance pH and a ton of other things.  I am skeptical (seems like a gimmick to me) but I have a friend who swears by it and claims it helped another friend of hers that was dealing with lyme disease.  Anyway, just wondering if anyone had heard of it and if so, what you think.

    Are you referring to alkalining? Yes I have read about this & have a friend that swears by it. I read some interesting stuff on it as well. Google it & you will find tons of info.  Our local health food here sells the water.  Now there are also Willard's Water. These are also drops that can be added to water.

    I take Cell Food...and I've been on it for 1 and ½ years now. I'm pretty sure it's the same thing as Cell Power. My naturopath recommended it to me. And my father also surprised me with a bottle. It's quite popular in Australia.

    http://www.balancedforhealth.com/cellfoodindex.htm

    At first I was a tad sceptical - but one afternoon my son was bitten in the stables by a white tail spider, and I put a tiny diluted drop on the bite (it's highly, HIGHLY concentrated) ...and the flared bite disappeared after a couple of days. Normally these bites take weeks/months to go away. Then I had bitten the inside of my mouth...which developed into a sore...and I had bitten it again...till it became infected. Again I diluted a couple of drops and rinsed my mouth several times - it numbed the area and had almost disappeared by the next day. I love it!! My whole family takes several drops in water daily. I remember taking it with me during rads...and showing it to other ladies who are now also taking it, and loving it. It's supposed to be really good as an oxygen transporter...but I mainly use it for its many health benefits.......also my PH levels are usually around 7.6. That being said, I do/take a plethora of other things on my quest to wellness.

     As for supplying myself with oxygen - at first I tried hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and my goodness, I felt like I was in a coffin, and bailed after a couple of treatments! I tried to fall asleep in there, but almost had a panic attack. Now I take organic biological sulphur (it's very bitter)...with my supplements/supper-foods, as a transporter of oxygen, a fab way to detox, and keep my PH intact. Actually, if you put your PH strip in sulphur, it will remain at a normal level. At first I started with one tea spoon and have now worked my way up to 4 tea spoons per day. Mind you, you can't take sulphur after 2-3 pm, tops...as it gives you way too much energy and you will find yourself doing the laundry at some ungodly hour. ( I learned that the hard way) It stays in your system for 12 hours. What l also learned about the sulphur was it heals wounds quickly. I've had some dreadful bruises....really big black ones...that have simply disappeared in days - without first turning yellow and taking their time to heal like they once used to. A gentleman told me that would happen...and I didn't believe it till I saw it with my own eyes. Also, hair and nails grow a lot quicker, and stronger. Some things are really worth a try.  I also walk 5k along the beach in the evenings to stay fit and breathe in unpolluted oxygen (my nans orders) - I feel great.  And while taking these supplements through treatment...I also felt vibrant and energetic...not once did I feel lethargic.

    Cellfood or Cell Power, won't hurt to try...that's for sure. And biological sulphur is definitely something to think about.

    Have a lovely day....x

    Victoria,

    Thank you for such detailed info.  I am going to get the Cell food and sulphur.  I am on Avastin (carbo/taxol/avastin) so have slow wound healing.  i also developed a small tear in lower colon which drives me nuts.  I was going to take Arnica, but the recommened dose is 3 drops of the liquid form in 500ml water, and I cannot find the liquid form, only tablets, which come in way too many dosage levels for me to figure out (6x, 30x, etc).  I am also looking for things that will help heal quickly after surgury.  Thanks again!

    Having trouble finding 'organic biological sulphur'.  Is it the same as MSM?  Is powder better than pill?  thnks.

    Hello Iindaa

    Yes it is, and yes anything in powder or liquid form is better absorbed, and far more potent in my opinion. MSM is equivalent to DMSO but contains an additional atom of oxygen, so it is actually DMSO2....without the stink it once use to have. MSM works synergistically with vitamin C. When I was going through rads...two woman were taking it with their COQ10. Another lady was taking it with vitamin C and B12. I started researching it...and have discovered wonderful health benefits of organic biological sulphur. You will feel like a hyperactive 6 year old. But you cannot take it after 2-3pm the latest because it stays in your system for 12 ours...and you will not sleep at night if you take it late.

    Also you want to make sure that it is not made from petrochemicals and is derived from trees using DMSO.

    ....and these features are written on the label...

    Quality & Purity:

    100% pure pharmaceutical grade MSM

    Does not contain any fillers or flowing agents

    micro-crystalline powder for better solubility

    Every batch of raw material is micro tested for organic volatile impurities

    Every batch tested for heavy metals, including lead, arsenic and mercury.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
    Here's some info on MSM. Click on the links on the right to get a good idea on all it's health benefits. There's tons of info online.
    http://www.evolutionhealth.com/msm-powder3.htm
    I was watching a three part series on youtube done in the 80's...and 60 minutes were grilling the FDA as to why a truck load of scientific evidence on the therapeutic health benefits of organic biological sulphur was swept under the rug for decades. They handed them all the evidence...and they simply had no excuse. Would you believe that the FDA only approved certain benefits of MSM...late in 2009?
    This is one product I make sure I never run out of....that's how amazing I feel. I didn't do chemo...but I thought if the ladies that did do chemo... felt great adding MSM to their protocol, I may as well give it a try. I've never looked back.
    Good luck with finding a good product, Iindaa...x
    Victoria- The FDA didn't approve it earlier because there weren't studies on it.  I spent my last year at college doing research on DMSO and it's by product (MSM)  In 1982, there were only 4 studies and one "study" that asked doctors how they were using it. The studies were only focused on the anti-inflammatory property and arthritis.  None of the studies were up to the level needed for current approval by the FDA and this was after almost 30 years of DMSO and MSM!  it really wasn't swept under the rug- no one bothered to do it!  Most researchers didn't want to chance doing a study because of the blindness effect of DMSO in pigs after 10 days of a high concentration.  No one knew if there were long term effects because of the super long half life of DMSO and MSM.  We still don't know of the long term (30+ years)  and it does build up in the body.  Do remember if you work with the original form, that it is a carrying agent.  It can move other chemicals through cell walls that are normally biologically unable to go through those walls because of polarity (not size.)  It's one of the reasons that purity becomes a big deal.
    Good luck.
    Ahhh...you indulge me Flash! I'm sure you are a lovely person...but I just find your post "old school."
    Flash wrote: "it really wasn't swept under the rug."
    Sweeping it under the rug and shelving "natural alternative research, therapies" that may benefit our health... is the FDA's area of expertise. Sorry but I have very little patience or faith in the FDA. And as for the drug companies...it's cheap and they can't own it!
    You say that most researchers didn't want to chance doing a study because of the blindness effect of DMSO in pigs after 10 days of a HIGH concentration. God only knows what they put those poor animals through?
    There's been a hell of a lot of positive research done over the years. Perhaps if you poked your head into the world of racing...you might be surprised just how successful MSM has been. I personally am closely affiliated with the racing world, and I know of some very wealthy entrepreneurs that have for decades used high graded organic MSM on multimillion dollar thoroughbreds....with much success. My father has been giving his thoroughbreds organic biological MSM for well over twenty years now...and guess what? No eye problems there - they not only saw the finish line...but lived a full and healthy life.
    I'm not talking about using DMSO...but organic Methylsulfonylmethane. That's what is readily available and sold in most health food stores. And I'm not talking about moving synthetic chemicals through cell walls but rather nutrients and oxygen through cell walls. I take my MSM with my superfoods, and certain natural supplements.
    And yes as I stated above...purity is of the utmost importance. Unfortunately in this day and age...unless you've grown it organically in your own backyard, we must source purity in just about everything we purchase. 100% pure pharmaceutical grade MSM isn't too hard to find these days.
    I was recently watching a show on ABC2 called "Forgeries"...and I'm thinking "Louis Vuitton, Versace?" Instead what were being forged were pharmaceutical drugs. A woman in the UK was taking heart medication that was not working. She had taken her medication to her doctor and told him that it simply wasn't working and he suggested that they get it analysed. They discovered that it was a forgery that had come from Asia. Detectives were showing us just how professionally accurate the copies were that even the pharmacists couldn't detect the difference. They then ordered drugs for just about every ailment you could imagine...and lo and behold they replicated them to a tee! Shocking!
    I know of a wonderful couple that have waited 10 whole years to put together a product called MSM Alive. The gentleman's mother developed cancer many years ago and he found her energy and health had picked up considerably after she took organic biological sulphur. Last year he put this combination of MSM, Siberian Ginseng, Rose Hips, Cats Claw, Barley Grass together...with phenomenal feedback, and success in Australia. It's about time MSM gets the positive recognition it so deserves!
    Some info...
    MSM also works extremely well for Animals.  Cats, Dogs, Horses etc.  Animals also suffer a lot of the same complaints we suffer from.  Animals Suffering from Arthritis, Inflamed joints, Back Pain...etc, can all benefit from taking MSM.  It's also been found that horse studs using MSM on both the mare and the stallion get much better success rates when breeding.  Success rates have risen drastically.  Race Horses recover faster after heavy training or a race.  It works on all animals that are mammals large and small.
    How Does MSM Work?
    MSM makes cell walls permeable, allowing water and nutrients to freely flow into cells and allowing wastes and toxins to properly flow out.   The body uses MSM along with Vitamin C to create new, healthy cells, and MSM provides the flexible bond between the cells. Without proper levels of MSM, our bodies are unable to build good healthy cells, and this leads to problems such as lost flexibility, scar tissue, wrinkles, varicose veins, hardened arteries, damaged lung tissues, dry cracking skin, digestive disorders, joint problems, and inability to defend against allergic reactions to food, animals and plants.
    My son and I were lying on the bed touching each other's tummy. And he said that the skin on our tummies had the same softness. It's amazing how luxurious the skin becomes with sulphur. I am so pleased with my complexion.
    Hi Ladies,
    I would like to pump this topic because I have a friend who is intersted in trying the Cellfood but her family thinks it is expensive and may not worth the money. Could anyone who has tried share some thought? Thanks very much.
    I have a friend who reps Cell Food, so she gave some to me. I love it, but just started it so I don't have much in the way of a testimonial.
    If you are still interested I would be happy to contact my friend and get more info.
    Best, Blubelle
