    Tracy,

Just happy to have you arranging this for us newbies.  To complicate things, I used to be jodimaca but changed it when I found out that my info was public under a name others in my life use.

Take care and see you then,

    Diane

is it too late to add my name to the list?

I am thinking work might free up enough to let me make it, at least for a drink if not for a whole dinner. . . .

Hi all - I know I'm on the list but want to make sure that you know that I will arrive a tad late, but will be eating dinner!!!!  I will be bringing a newcomer - I don't think she is on the boards yet.  Her name is Jordan.  I invited another island friend who finished treatment last year AND is a nurse at Swedish.  She is now an infusion nurse, so some of you may know her (Jacqui).  She is working and won't be off until 7:30 so is planning on stopping by for a drink.  I think Madge24 will be arriving with me - we need to be on the 5:30 ferry which puts us into Seattle at 6:05, and then the walk up the street - I bet we will be there around 6:20.

Looking forward to seeing everyone - whoever said look for the women who are laughing loudly is right - we always have a good time!

    Hi All,

I too may bring a friend who isn't on the boards yet.  We met at the Look Good Feel Good class.  Not totally sure if she can make it, but just wanted to let you know.

Yes, yes and yes.  Come one, come all.  Bring friends, come late, come for dinner or drinks or whatever you would like.

I tried to make reservations but they said they don't take them.  It generally isn't horribly busy in there during the week so we should be OK.  If anyone gets there before me, just use my name (Tracy) so everyone can find us.

    Looking forward to it.

Hello from Poulsbo ..... I'll be catching the 4:35 ferry Tuesday night, hence arriving early.  Tracy, I shall chat with the hostess and see what they can arrange for our group.    Looking forward to swapping stories, greeting our new sister friends and providing welcoming supportive ears :)

What about taking the bus in?  I know they stop at the South Bellevue Park & Ride.  That way, you don't have to fight traffic on the way in and you get to travel in the HOV lane.  Just a thought.

sigh.  having gotten all excited about meeting people in person, I must now tender regrets.  I took the cat to the vet yesterday and it turns out he is in advanced stages of kidney failure.  he came home last night but went back this morning for fluids and we have to pick him up this afternoon.

I confess, I feel like a rotton neglectful pet owner.  I did notice that he was excessively peeing/drinking but there has been so much going on this year that I couldn't focus and get him to the vet.  And I get that one might argue that dealing with stupidbreastcancer treatment is pretty "decent" excuse for dropping the ball a bit and that it wouldn't really have made any difference [kidney failure is the #1 cause of death in older cats] but it doesn't make me feel any better and I still think I am a pretty lame pet owner.

    Hope everyone has fun.

So sorry to hear about your cat! :(  .... I feel like I've been neglecting my dogs too.. but yes, I believe we have a stupidbreastcancer excuse. :)

Sorry you won't be able to make it. :(  .. I've been worried that it was going to get cancelled because of this overhyped "windstorm"! ... my mom is already lecturing me about driving careful there and back and calling her as soon as I get home!

3monstmama-we missed you.  I'm so sorry you couldn't make it.  And I'm so sorry about your cat.  Don't beat yourself up.  You haven't been neglecting your cat,  Cats get old and sick.  It happens when your life is crazy and when its not.  Give your kitty some love and it will make both of you feel better.

Everyone else....so glad to see/meet everyone.  It makes me feel blessed when I realize how many people I have gotten to meet and how much broader my life is because of all of you.  Susan and Jordan.  We will be thinking of you in the next weeks while you go through surgery.  When you get through it, we will all be here for you.  You will be OK and you will find yourself laughing at some point and realize that you are going to be just fine.

    Take care all.

I am sorry to have missed it as well - after sitting on 520 for 40  minutes due to not only traffic but a car accident and then the police blocking a whole lane so they could ticket someone who shouldn't have been in the car pool lane, I admit, I gave up and went home....

Hope you all had a wonderful time.

Thanks for the heads up on 520 as need to go out to Sammamish on Friday.  Usually I90 is the better route into Seattle during rush hour.

I had a lovely time and it was great to meet everyone.  Glad my "commute" consisted of a long walk both ways so got in my exercise.  This was particularly true of the walk back when I could feel the weight of those two bottles of wine I had picked up in my travels.

Was interesting seeing the waterfront at night as walked back on the water side.  Was well lit and enough traffic so I didn't worry.

Really glad that everyone is doing so well.  My take-away is that our lives are all changed, but life is a dynamic process anyway.  So a bit of a detour, and perhaps a slightly different path.

Thanks Tracy for organizing this. - Claire

Hi everyone,    Thanks Tracy for organizing last nights dinner. I had a great time! I'm just sorry i didn't get down to the other end of the table longer to chat with everyone down that way. I hope  we can do it again sometime,  for the ones that missed it. I want to say GOOD LUCK to Susan and Jordan, you both will be in my thoughts and prayers. I have no doubt you both will do fine.                           3monstmama- I am sorry about your cat, i have two little mini doxies and i know what you mean, i was three months late getting them their shots :)                                                                                                             Happy Holidays to everyone!!!!                              Pam

It is true that I90 can be better during rush hour, but only if you don't live just a few blocks from the 520 onramp, causing you to deal with cross Bellevue or 405 traffic to get to I90....

Hi everyone - last night was so great!  Everyone looks so great - sporting new hair do's and big smiles!  It was wonderful to meet those of you that I haven't met in person before.  Susan and Jordan - you are definitely in my thoughts and prayers for your upcoming surgeries - I know they will go well and you will be so happy to have that part finished.

Raincity - that traffic sounds like it was terrible, and 3 monstmama, so sorry about your cat.  So sorry that we missed you, but hopefully will see you next get together.

Be well and stay warm!  Snow?!

Once again .... a wonderful evening !  I think we'd all agree that there is something about chatting with others in like shoes.  A sisterhood that none of us would choose to be a part of .... but most definitely one that embraces the goodwill and power of so many !!!   Til we meet again .... be well my friends!!!

Will most likely cycle in the lowlands, but super stoked about the snow.  Reminder to fix the zipper on my x-country ski pants.

I missed a ski season last year, and not because of chemo.

    Hey Girls,

I really enjoyed dinner more than ever, the company was great.  So glad to meet new folk and see others who are now on the other side of treatment and looking so beautiful and strong.  Thank you Tracy for organizing and keeping us all together.  We had a good time on the boat on the way home, too.  Stay warm, girls!  I've got my snow boots at the ready.

Just saw that they have the date for the Komen Race for the Cure 5k in Seattle ~ June 5th.  Early registration ends Jan 31st if you want to save 5 bucks! Tongue out

I'm thinking of bringing my hubby and spending the night in Seattle the night before and make a weekend out of it.  It should be about a month or so after my exchange surgery so I will have plenty to celebrate! Laughing

I hope to see some of you Seattle sisters there!

Happy anniversary to me!  Today is my one year anniversary of becoming a uni-boober.  And the start of my being a SURVIVOR.  Wow.  That was a long year.  Best to all of you in 2011.

Congrats Frosty!!  We are very close in our survival dates.  It will be one year tomorrow since I had my bilat and became a survivor. Boy, what a LONG year.  But, the positive is we found it and got rid of it.  Big Whoo Hoo to that!
