And thru it all you have always been here for me, all the downs and worse downs and all the ups. Like many other, I would not have made it without you all.
Thank you from the very bottom to the top of my heart. I have learned from you, grown stronger and gained self confidence (and faith in my gut opinions) because of your support and sharing your strength.
I wish for us all to be the living till we don't. And guess I'll just go ahead and look out for the bus we all talk about from time to time that could run us down any time. LOL, we only have school buses in my small town.
Cheers to you all, and I love each and every one of you!

Way to go, Dottie!!
Wishing you many, many more cancer free and good health years!
My eighth cancer anniversary was in March of this year. Hard to believe I'm still here after having two recurrences and heart attack.
Yes, this site is a blessing to so many.
Hugs,
Jelly

Congratulations! And thank you for all your support over the past years.
Sue (9 years as of May 2 and celebrating my first "normal" mammogram since 1998.) Though I don't want to jinx things, I once got a call to return for another mammo (followed by a biopsy) a week to ten days after an "all-clear" mammogram.
-
Oh, thanks everyone! Isn't it great to see all these years of "better". We all take a deep breath with each follow up, but hopfully all the newbies will see we oldbies and exhale, at least for a while.

I missed this earlier too. Dotti, congratulations!! And congrats to Anne and the other "old-timers" too.

WOOT, WOOT! I just love hearing from the old timers, too!
I had to chuckle about your bus comment - I can just imagine walking down the sidewalk like a cartoon character, jumping behind every bus stop sign, peeking out and checking both directions before going past. Here's to you never seeing a bus. EVER.

I missed your post too, Dottie! Count me among those wishing you congrats. (I can't believe I'll be 6 years Nov. 1!)

Today is my 2 year cancerversity. 2 years ago today I received the call that no one should receive, "Marlene I am sorry you have breast cancer." 1 week before my 45th birthday!
After the initial shock (that lasted about 2 minutes) I leaped into action. Contact my breast care navigator and made my apt to see the surgeon. The wait began.... I had an MRI 11/26 and surgery 12/4. My Oncotype score came back at 25 (16% recurrence) and due to my age I decided to have chemo. Chemo (T&C- 4X) - started 1/13/09 and the last chemo was on my grandmothers birthday-3/17. I started tamoxifen 3/30 and radiation started 4/1/09. 33 radiation treatments later I was done (except tamoxifen)
I sit here today so grateful to everyone who has helped me get to this point. Thank you everyone!
