You girls should google it - sounds better than core needle as they only stick it in once. She only mentioned it because I asked the cost and she knew how much it was - $800!!! but I get a refund from the government health thingy.

DH has gone off on a weekend golfing trip - peace at last.

I don't know what I would do without your support - (((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))

drat...I forgot about the time-difference thing.  Thanks, Michele for thinking of that.  So what time will it be here on the east coast?  hmmm.  Need to actually do some math. 11 hrs.?  12?  Guess we need to start sending those thoughts Sunday night?   :P

Suepen:  where in Aussie land are you?  I needed to know when I checked the time zone and, needless to say, Australia has several.  :P

You girls are gorgeous. I'm in Brisbane - we don't have daylight saving so we are an hour behind Sydney.

Alicia - I think it will be fine too.  I feel the hugs already Smile

Sue perhaps you can give is a count down.  I find my chemo brain and sucky math skills make thinking hard...I woke up today and you were the first thing I thought of.  Wondering what time it was there.

So, if my calculations are correct, Sue, you'll be in your procedure 11 hrs.from right now...so that makes it 7:10 P.M. Eastern time tonight.  The rest of you in another time zone, take it from there.  (I was doing well to figure it for the east coast!! And 'Chele, you're on your own!)  :)

I'll be thinking of you then, Sue!!!  All will be fine.  All will be fine.  All will be fine.  Nette  :)

Well, Michele, I see you are on the same time I am (blush).  Yeah, I admit that I am one of the least internationally political, worldly educated person in the world.  I can teach it, but I just don't remember it.  Meno-memory loss.  That's me.  :)

Linda - glad someone was online to work it out. I'm quite calm but not looking forward to how they will have to do it (with a mammo). I'll be lying facedown on a bed with boobs hanging down and they raise the bed up and the doctor goes in under the bed - toally weird. Still I get a day off work :)

hmmmm...strange view from down there, no doubt.  But if it works and they find it's nothing, it'll be worth it.  :)

Yes, I wish the bloody thing had shown up on ultrasound, then there wouldn't be this strange method. I think they can do the other one using ultrasound. Yukk - I hate being poked.

Thanks for all of the best wishes girls !!!!!!

It's done!!!! Turns out they could see the spot they were interested in on the ultrasound they did after I had the MRI. They didn't want to biopsy the other spot at all - radiologist had said benign on that one. They put a wire in using the ultrasound, then did mammos to see if it hit the spot - they were high 5ing each other after that. Then they did the core needle biopsy - she took 3 samples. Then she put a clip in to mark the spot in case they need to locate it later, then another mammo to make sure the clip was in the right place.

I'll get the results tomorrow afternoon - nice and quick. The bs won't be working then but the breast pyhsician said she would call me if she can't get the bs.

I was only there 2 hours this time - much better. Turns out they couldn't have done the biopsy the day of the MRI after all as they were flat out, so I don't have to feel stupid for not doing it then.

I showed her the spot DH and I could see on last year's mamo and she agreed it looks like the same thing. The problem was, it wasn't visible on the lateral view last year but was on the lateral view of this year's. She did agree it looks much the same as last time - so that's something.

(((((((((HUGS)))))))))) - thanks to you all for thinking of me - I felt the hugs.

(((((SUE)))))  We have matching clips now!!! :-)

So glad to hear your done with this episode. I wonder why they din't do this last year. When I was first diagnosed with my breast cancer in my L. Breast, they had noticed a suspicious area in my right. They had done what you had done today, except i didn't have to lay on a table upside down. I have had that clip since last year and thank goodness because it showed up on my mammo this year, but the spot was the same as last year and the clip showed up. I know you will be fine.

Hugs to all, Love y'all Brenda

P.S. Had my RECLAST infusion Friday. It went fine and I had NO major side effects other than tired on Saturday a just a very smidge achy, but not bad at all!!!!

WOO HOO, SUE!!!  It's done!!!!  So glad they didn't have to do the invasive mammo and that they agreed that the one spot hadn't changed.     Now, just need to get the good results tomorrow!  You are definitely a poster child for being one's own advocate!

Brenda:  glad you didn't have any bad SE's from the Reclast!

Is a happy Monday!!  Nette  :)

Thanks girls. I told the ladies doing the biopsy that you were all there with me - they thought  you were all lovely.

Brenda - glad you didn't get SE's like I did with the Zometa.

    Go away Bonnie!!!!
