squamous cell ca of the breast

My Breast Ca was a squamous cell Ca and I can't find anyone who has had it. I was diagnosed Feb. 2007. I had over a 7cm. mass in my left breast. No lymph node involvement. I went through mastectomy, chemo & 7 weeks of radiation. Because it is rare, the doctors cannot tell me too much. Even though it's been 3 & 1/2 yrs., I worry all the time. Every few months when I see my oncologist, he seems surprised that I am still around! I feel so alone and uncertain.

    I am now looking into my sister in law's left breast cancer mast to see if it was SC.  Same as you 3 years ago under went a left mast, but they left her hanging with no treatment.  Last year she went up north to a better facility and they questioned why no after surgery treatment at least tomax....she under went months of chemo and 30 rads for SC in and around the right neck lymph and juggler.  Now 7-8 months later SC came back with a vengence, a total right neck dissection with loss of the juggler, muscle and all lymph's.  We don't have a staging as yet, but because of the spread, we are curious of the original BC diagnosis....she does not have internet, so she does not know to look up everything within her reports.  She only knew they said she had BC.  I look up everything now for her, as a BC survivor recent, I look up everything.  If I find her original diagnosis and it states SC, I will repost to you.

    Thanks Mimi. I hope all goes well for your sister in law. l am  interested if the BC was SC. Good thoughts and wishes for you both.
