side effects of tamoxifen withdrawal

My son has been on Tamoxifen for 3 years to treat a fibromatosis in his leg.Whilst on Tamoxifen he developed a high degree of anxiety. He has now been off Tamoxifen for 3 months and the anxiety has increased so he is now experiencing periods of between 30 secs and 3 minutes of a trance like state, during which time he becomes very anxious. I was wondering if any ladies being treated for breast cancer have also experienced these side effects and how long they have lasted for once Tamoxifen medication has ceased. These trance-like periods started 1 month after stopping the Tamoxifen. I would be very grateful for any feedback.

    I was only on Tamoxifen for 2-3 months as I had severe bone pain and had to stop taking the drug.  Thus, I can't answer your questions but I do have a few comments.  Usually, it take 3 weeks for most drugs to get out of your system.  Look up the name of the manufacturer on the Internet & search for a contact number. Call and ask your questions concerning Tamoxifen.  When I have done this for a number of different drugs, I've always gotten replies to my questions.  The company pharmacist has even taken the time to talk with me.
