Bone mets

Can anyone tell me what are the most common symptoms? I have a BC friend with unexplained cracks showing up in her bones.

You can get some fractures.  My main symptom is muscle pain around where the mets are -- the muscles get strained by compensating for the weakened bones.  Your friend might have osteoporosis, mets, or something else.  She should ask her doc or onc for a bone scan to see what's what.  I hope it's not mets.

I"m okay Barbe but my friend already had a bone scan and that doctor wants her to see an Onc.I am so worried she is our age and more or less thought she was okay after over 8 years of good health. He said he did not think it was osteoporosis. Thankyou Elizabeth .

    Hi Elizabeth,

I have a strained feeling in my left arm ( not my mx side) lower part near the elbow. I would say the raduis bone. When I am walking swaying my arm or picking up items I feel pain go through my arm. It's been 2 weeks of this going on. When you mentioned the strained feeling are you talking about a strain feeling similar to exterting the muscle/bone? Just wondering b/c I know this may be something simple like tennis elbow but you know how the mind can go down the cancer road......

    Thanks,

    Chalex
