My rad onc has indicated no boosters would be necessary after I finish the 28 regular rad treatments.  Has anyone not had the boosters after receiving radiation treatments?

not exactly an answer to your question, but, was told that I needed extra boosts because my margin at the skin side was only 1.5 mm. Maybe if you searched  "radiation booster" here on bco in the treatment section, you would find info on when boosts are considered necessary/unnecessary. I didn't have any skin discomfort until the boosts.

Good luck and I hope all goes well with you.

I did have boosts, but I also had 1.75 mm of IDC detected in my final lumpectomy pathology. Not sure if that's why I was prescribed the boosts, but I was happy to have those extra zaps directed in that particular area.

Truthfully, the boosts were even easier on my breast than the full-breast treatment. I was pretty  red by the last week of my 25 reg'l zaps, but once those stopped, things "cooled" down and I breezed through the boosts.
