DX 8/10 - Surgery 9/20/10

I get these 'burning' spots in breast where biopsy was done.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Sounds like nerve pain. I get all sorts of weird pains, including burning ones, on both my surgery side and on the other side where I just had a biopsy.

I agree with Nash - I found the post-biopsy discomfort and twinges, etc., to be surprisingly uncomfortable. They poke around inside and slap around your nerves, which react in a variety of ways. I had an ultrasound guided vacuum assisted biopsy.

Good luck with your upcoming surgery!

Jan ~ I had been complaining to my BS that I was getting burning pain right under my collar bone which was inches away from the surgery cuts.  In fact, I got the burning pain (same area) right after I had the biopsy (Ultra sound guided core biopsy).

I still get it now, less frequent but I still get them.  I am going to my 8th rad tx today and there is a sore spot on the side of my breast (rad onc saw it yesterday) and said that I may be developing an infection but it has not surfaced, however, it is going towards my L armpit where I had SNB.  The armpit is slightly swollen and there is a spot further to the back of the pit, when I touch it, it has a slight bruised feeling.
