    Hi All,

I had to respond..  Something's wrong with this picture..  You all seem to have happy marriages and from what I've read, wonderful husbands and you have little or no mojo.  I, on the other hand, am pathetically single and still have ALOT of mojo.  Unfortunately, right now, I have no one to mojo with!!!  lol...   It just doesn't seem fair.  I'm praying that you all find some mojo!!!  and that I find someone to mojo with!!!

The Sun is out in CA today!!!  And Chris, you couldn't have put it any better, God allowed me to wake up this morning and I too, am greatful!!!

    Have a wonderful day all!

Enjoy every minute of it, Beth.  My husband and oldest son are going fishing for the weekend.  I love when they get to spend time together.  BUT that leaves me running the boys to  2 soccer games, football game, soccer tournament, football playoff game, hayride/corn maze, church, and then football party by myself!  I think he needs to take me out to dinner on Monday!!

    Beth R...you are too funny!!

Beth R: Maybe it's the men in our life that are causing low MOJO...I was blaming the tamoxifen..lol! Enjoy the sunshine and maybe you'll find a little piece of California lovin'!

Chris: Sounds like a busy weekend and yes...DH should spring for a nice dinner for you!

Francine: I am so looking forward to Jasper Park Lodge. It is a beautiful time of year to go there.

    Hugs

I have to agree ... I'm grateful too. Laughing

I'm sitting here giggling at the comments on the 'mojo'.  Some days I do and some days I don't.  My hubby is a prostate ca survivor and two-time back surgery person, so our activities were already limited.  Guess we're made for each other.

Thanks Francine!  I know right ... my hubby is sitting here amazed.  He swears my hair has grown since this picture was taken .. LOL!  Now that I think I've got a handle on this uploading picture thing I'll be sharing more on the site.  I'm supposed to be getting my clothes squared away for Homecoming tomorrow, so I guess I have to get off this computer.  We're expecting sunshine, but it will be chilly.  Everyone have a great weekend!

Thank you EVERYONE!  We've learned how to put on our best faces and take on the world. Cool

Our weather has been going back and forth.  We left the house Saturday morning bundled up and by that afternoon we were peeling off layers of clothing because it was so warm.  All in all it was a great day for homecoming and we won the game.  Tailgaters were everywhere, music, food, fun and reunions galore.  I was exhausted but took home some nice memories.

Hope others were able to enjoy some good weather, if not, I hope you were able to enjoy some "me" time.

    Hi all,

I got back to Maryland on Sunday.  What a long day!  I was beat!  Unfortunately I wasn't able to see my friend.  She's having a rough time of it right now and just couldn't make it.  So, I took a tour of LA.  The tour was O.K.  It was a great way to kill time!

    Hope all's well with everyone.

Francine: Jasper Park Lodge was beautiful. You can't beat the Fairmont hotels. The lodge is very rustic and surounded by the majestic rrocky mountains. Our room overlooked the lake. The lodge was built in 1915. Movies were filmed there in the 30's and 40's starring such stars as Bing Crosby, Mariln Monroe and Jimmy Stewart. Bing Crosby loved the lodge so much that they have a room named after him. He won the Jasper Park Lodge Golf Tournamnet in 1947. The King and Queen of England have stayed there too. The main building was burnt in a fire and rebuilt to its original state. It's very casual with fabulous food and such a relaxing unpretentious environment.

Beth R: Do you have to go back to LA again?

Weather here is at the freezing point and we had a bit of snow yesterday. I'm not a fan of winter so we'll be taking a trip to the Mayan Riveria at the end of January. In the meantime....I will buncdle up and suck it up...lol

    Hi All,

Francine - I hope you and your husband enjoyed your night out!  Hopefully the weather wasn't too miserable.

BethP - Mexico will be such a nice break from Winter.  I've never minded Winter very much and actually like it when it snows.  But I know it's most likely no where near as hard as your Winters must be.

Well I'm supposed to go back to CA one more time, but right now I don't know when that will be.  It's nice in the area I'm working in, about an hour north of LA.  So anyway, I'm back at working at home for this project...  ugh!

    Have a wonderful day all!

    Hello ladies,

It seems everyone is doing good. I'm in the home stretch.....the 3rd trimester. I guess I better get that nursery set up. I'm such a slacker I will probably be doing it after she gets here. At least I have a co-sleeper to buy me more time.

I plan to get some pictures done soon so, I will post when I get them.

Not to brag but, our weather is still pretty good in North Carolina  - 70s - 80s, but, I don't know how long it will last.

Tanasha...I am so excited for you.  The time does fly (especially when you're not the one pregnant!).  New beginnings are starting with you.  It gives us such hope and joy at the end of this journey!  I had 4 boys, so setting up a nursery for a little girl would be awesome....where do you live, I can be there in a day!!!

    Take care all....

    Hi, everyone!

Checking in again, this time with some tips that might be helpful to others.

I had *very* severe joint pain from taking Arimidex and then Femara (staying with this for now). Doctor kept repeating the "ibuprofen" mantra, but it was really not helping that much. My yoga instructor suggested I try eliminating wheat and dairy from my diet, as these foods tend to cause inflammation in the body, which in turn causes joint pain (among many other issues).

Well, I gave it a shot...and within 3 weeks, my pain was greatly reduced. It's not gone, but it is *significantly* better. One note: in the second week, the pain intensified to the worst it's ever been. But I stuck with it, and the following week...sweet relief.

I've even tested this theory by eating wheat and dairy again and indeed, the pain worsened when I did, and was reduced again when I stopped.

Also, I was struggling to get my eyebrows and lashes to grow back to their pre-chemo state. But I did not want to try Latisse, out of concern for the advertised side effects. But I found a product online that works VERY well, is cheap, and has no side effects to my knowledge. All ingredients are listed on the website. Soy and parabens are in the formula, in case some are trying to avoid them. But within only 2 weeks, I saw very noticable darkening and thickening.

I hope this info is of some value to everyone, and I hope you are are well!

    Peace,

    Nadine

Thanks for the info on wheat and dairy Nadine. I'm not taking any antihormonals, tho I am "supposed" to be. I've been wanting to eliminate both wheat and dairy bc I likely have systemic candida (yeast) overgrowth.

    Hello Everyone!

Tanasah - May God's blessings be upon you.

Talking about eyebrowns ... I started taking Biotin because of an old post on this board and my hair (ALL OVER) has grown like crazy.  I have discovered I can no longer eat pork or beef.  Had a terrible episode after eating sausage.  The funny thing is I knew it all along but kept trying to blame it on other things.  It's all for the best. Cool Now if I can just get up enough energy to walk everything will be wonderful!

    ladies,

Got this email and thought some of you might like to watch it.

About 136 former cheerleaders got together to do a dance routine to benefit "Susan G. Komen for the Cure" (Breast Cancer).     Each time someone views the video, United Healthcare will make a donation to the Komen organization.       Their goal is to get a million hits, which will lead to $100K raised.         Please can you take a moment to watch the video - and, just as important, pass this link onto your network of friends, family and colleagues?   It benefits a very important cause!
         Take care .

Francine: Yes the time is flying. November is getting off to a beautiful start here. Fairly mild weather and wonderful sunshine. Big election day tomorrow. I love watching all the political action in the US. We are a bit less engaged here with our politics I think.

    Have fun with your grandaughter
